China 'tests terrifyingly powerful Dongfeng-41 nuclear missile' which could destroy London in HALF AN HOUR

Doomsday weapon has the longest range of any ballistic missile in the world and carries up to 10 super destructive warheads

China has allegedly tested a weapon of mass destruction capable of hitting London and other major European or American cities in just 30 minutes.

The People's Republic reportedly fired a nuke called the Dongfeng-41, which has the longest range of any missile in the world.

It can carry up to 10 warheads over a distance of roughly 7,450 miles in just half an hour before hitting several targets at once.

This would mean Beijing could destroy the whole of London - which is slightly more than 5,000 miles from the Chinese capital - or wipe out any city in the West.

Pentagon sources told the Washington Beacon that the nuke had been detected by American satellites.

The development is likely to make American military chiefs extremely nervous.

Previous reports have indicated the Dongfeng-41 could be operational at some point during 2016.

Mark Stokes, an expert on the Chinese military and ex-Pentagon analyst, said: "China and Russia are increasingly coordinating their military forces against the Untied States and that China’s program of enabling North Korea and Iran to become nuclear missile powers is nearing completion.”

A number of states near China are now armed with weapons of mass destruction.

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un now has nuclear weapons - and could soon be able to target America and Japan.

Kim, 33, was recently pictured standing next to what was thought to be a miniaturised weapon.

Miniaturisation is achieved when the nuclear warhead weighs less than 2,200 lb and the diameter of the bomb measures 35 inches or less.

In state media, Kim was quoted as saying: "We must always be ready to fire our nuclear warheads at any time."

Now, a South Korean government report has confirmed the miniaturised 660lb nuclear warhead is at his disposal.

The National Assembly Research Service said the warheads could be mounted on missiles.

It is feared North Korea now had between eight and 20 miniaturised warheads.

The claims came as the US senate was warned it is only a matter of time before Kim had long-range missiles capable of hitting America and Japan.

General Vincent Brooks told the Armed Services Committee that Kim was determined to build rockets which could target the US.

He said: "Over time, I believe we're going to see them acquire these capabilities if they're not stopped."

Reuters

Senator John McCain, who chairs the committee, asked how concerned he was about the "immaturity and unpredictability of the rotund ruler in Pyongyang".

General Brooks replied: "I'm very concerned about the direction he's going, and it's evident that he's not yet deterred from his pursuit."

The US has 28,500 troops in South Korea. They have kept a military presence there since the end of the Korean War in 1953.

The two Koreas technically remain at war, as the conflict ended in an armistice instead of a peace treaty.

China supported the North in the Korean War but has become increasingly exasperated by the antics of Kim, who came to power after the death of his father Kim Jong-il in 2011.

Pyongyang last week conducted a test of what appeared to be a medium-range missile, but the rocket suffered a catastrophic failure on launch.

Washington and Seoul may deploy the Theater High Altitude Area Defense System (THAAD), to protect against ballistic missiles from the North.

South Korea pointed out that it took the US seven years to miniaturise a nuclear warhead in the 1960's while the Soviet Union took six and China only two years.

North Korea is thought to be planning another nuclear test in the run-up to its Party Congress on May 7. Some experts believe Kim's missiles have a longer range than previously assessed.

The test this month revealed the KN-08 first stage uses Musudan rather than No Dong engines, along with a more capable fuel.

That means the KN-08 would be able to reach throughout the US, including New York City and Washington, rather than only the Pacific Northwest.

Sperm Whales Found Dead In Germany, Stomachs FULL Of Plastic And Car Parts

will's picture

by Amanda Froelich, True Activist

The whales’ deaths are symbolic of humanity’s shocking disregard for marine life.

In January, 29 sperm whales were found stranded on shores around the North Sea, an area that is too shallow for the marine wildlife. Only recently were details of the animals’ necropsy released. However, scientists were deeply disturbed by what they found in the animals’ stomachs.

According to a press release from Wadden Sea National Park in Schleswig-Holstein, many of the whales had stomachs FULL of plastic debris, including a 13-meter-long fishing net, a 70 cm piece of plastic from a car and other pieces of plastic litter.

Some suggest that the animals thought the items were food, such as squid, which is their main staple. Others, however, believe that the travesty is largely a result of humanity’s shocking disregard for marine life, which has resulted in an overabundance of plastic in the oceans.

Said Robert Habeck, environment minister for the state of Schleswig-Holstein:

“These findings show us the results of our plastic-oriented society. Animals inadvertently consume plastic and plastic waste, which causes them to suffer, and at worst, causes them to starve with full stomachs.”

Nicola Hodgkins of Whale and Dolphin Conservation echoed that statement. She stated:

“Although the large pieces will cause obvious problems and block the gut, we shouldn’t dismiss the smaller bits that could cause a more chronic problem for all species of cetacean – not just those who suction feed.”

This isn’t the first time a sperm whale has been found dead with innards full of inedible contents. In 2011, a young whale was found floating dead off the Greek island of Mykonos. Its stomach was so distended, biologists thought the animal swallowed a giant squid. However, when its four stomachs were dissected, nearly 100 plastic bags and other pieces of debriswere found.

It should be noted that the plastic is not what killed the young male sperm whales. According to National Geographic, they died of heart failure. This was a result of mistakenly swimming into the North Sea, likely in search of squid, and then not being able to support their own body weights in the shallow water. As a result, their internal organs collapsed.

Regardless, the fact that many of their stomachs were full of pollution is a horrible indictment of humans. As has been reported in the past, 80% of the plastic which is discarded on land ends up in the oceans, where it is consumed by wildlife or swirls for years in great garbage patches. The fact that mankind – a species with a smaller brain than a whale – is responsible for such a travesty is ironic and saddening.

Until humans learn the value of living sustainably while respecting all life forms, travesties such as this one will continue to take place.

Netanyahu's remarks spark Arab League emergency meeting

It's forever. Golan, you and I and 50,000 residents will never part...and I'm telling that to Putin.
The Council of the Arab League will hold on Thursday an extraordinary meeting at the level of permanent envoys to discuss Israeli Prime Minister's Benjamin Netanyahu remarks about the Golan Heights, local media reported Tuesday, citing Kuwait's permanent representative at the organization.

On Sunday, Netanyahu held Israel's first Cabinet meeting on the Golan Heights, declaring the territory would remain permanently under the country's control.

"Kuwait has demanded to hold this meeting to discuss the challenges due to the dangerous statements regarding the occupied Arab-Syrian Golans. These statements are steps toward escalation and constitute a blatant violation of the principles of international law and international decisions," the Kuwaiti diplomat was quoted as saying by Egypt's al-Ahram newspaper.

The meeting will be convened upon Kuwait and Bahrain's request, the daily specified.

The Golan Heights, internationally recognized as Syrian territory, was seized by Israel during the Six-Day War in 1967. In 1981, the Israeli parliament voted to annex two-thirds of the region.

Comment:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the Golan Heights "will forever remain part of Israeli sovereignty." Not even the US considers this to be true. No country can arbitrarily and outrightly annex the territory of another. Israel claimed this territory in 1981. It is now 35 years later...there is an ongoing war in Syria and Israel's best scenario is to assume the territory by default when Syria is (hypothetically) subdivided. Possession, to Bibi, equates to ownership, even if you have to instigate an inconvenient war and kill a few hundred thousand people by proxy to get it.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian says Israel’s arsenal of nuclear and chemical weapons is the “main threat” to the Middle East.

Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks during a Wednesday meeting with Head of UN Security Council Joint Investigative Mechanism on Chemical Weapon Use in Syria Virginia Gamba.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian

The Tel Aviv regime, which pursues a policy of so-called deliberate ambiguity about its nuclear bombs, is estimated to have 200 to 400 nuclear warheads in its arsenal. The regime has refused to allow inspections of its military nuclear facilities or to sign the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Chemical weapons use in Syria

Referring to the use of chemical weapons by terrorist groups in Syria, Amir-Abdollahian stressed that “the international community has not done enough to address the matter.”

In response to Gamba’s call for cooperation, he said that Iran is willing to aid the joint investigative committee in identifying the culprits behind chemical attacks in the war-torn Arab country.

The deputy foreign minister stressed that Iran condemns the use of any kind of weapons of mass destruction, including chemical weapons.

On April 7, 23 people were killed and over 100 others injured in a chemical attack by Daesh terrorists against members of the Kurdish People's Protection Units in a neighborhood of the northwestern Syrian city of Aleppo. The incident occurred three days after reports that Daesh had fired a barrage of rockets carrying mustard gas at a Syrian military airport in the eastern city of Dayr al-Zawr.

Last year, the UN mandated a probe dubbed the Joint Investigative Mechanism after evidence emerged that Takfiri militants had used chlorine gas in attacks on three Syrian villages in 2014 which claimed the lives of at least 13 people.

Washington's fake war on ISIS now gets relocated back to Libya

Out of all the explanations for the Islamic State's "move" to Libya, the only one that makes real sense is that they are being moved there by their foreign sponsors because it is believed they are "out of reach" of the Russian-led coalition that is truly fighting them in Syria.

Comment: SOTT tries to cull out and share the most important and relevant news we can find. Quite often, when the article is posted, the editor will accent those phrases that seem to stress the most salient points in the article, often in black, but far less often in red - for the really alarming stuff. If it wasn't so painful on the eyes, this SOTT editor would have highlighted most if not all of the following article entirely in red. What is described below is so criminal, so exasperating, so evil - that to stand witness to its level of malevolence without feeling at least some sense of revulsion, disgust, anger and sadness would not be standing witness to these events at all. And unfortunately, for most of us, aside from sharing this information with others, it's the least we can do.

Libya is one place the "Islamic State's" sponsors believe Russia can't get them... In 2011, a NATO coalition led by the United States used its own engineered regional campaign of political destabilization, the "Arab Spring," as a pretext to militarily intervene in first Libya directly, and in a more indirect way, Syria. US and European forces also "quietly" intervened in several other nations, including Mali and the Ivory Coast amid this regional conflagration.

Even in 2011, it was clear to geopolitical analysts that military intervention in Libya was an attempt to divide and destroy the country, giving the US and its collaborators a base of operations to further disrupt and reorder the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA). Almost immediately after US-led strikes on Libya coordinated with terrorist factions on the ground successfully overthrew the Libyan government, weapons and fighters were sent to Syria via NATO-member Turkey. CNN's 2012 article, "Libya rebels move onto Syrian battlefield," would report that:
Their war for freedom in Libya may be over, but almost a year after they won the battle for the Libyan capital, a group of fighters have a new battlefield: Syria. Under the command of one of Libya's most well known rebel commanders, Al-Mahdi al-Harati, more than 30 Libyan fighters have made their way into Syria to support the Free Syrian Army rebels in their war against President Bashar al-Assad's regime.
It is difficult to believe CNN's inaccuracy in its report was not intentional. Far from a "war for freedom," it is clear that Al-Mahdi al-Harati led just one of many proxy armies raised by the United States and its Persian Gulf allies. The group espouses an extremist tinge propagated by US-ally Saudi Arabia, and in no way represents either the Libyan people, nor the people of Syria it claimed to be fighting on behalf of. Al-Harati is now "mayor" of Tripoli, and is just one example which goes a long way in explaining the continuous chaos that has engulfed the country. Quite literally, foreign-funded terrorists are running the country. Ironically, the same CNN that in 2012 celebrated the spreading "war for freedom," would report in a more recent article titled, "ISIS fighters in Libya surge as group suffers setbacks in Syria, Iraq," that:
There may now be up to 6,500 ISIS fighters in Libya, twice the number previously thought, according to several U.S. intelligence officials. They attributed the increase to the U.S. analysis that ISIS is diverting more fighters to Libya from Syria — and from Turkey when they cannot get into Syria.
It is ironic because the so-called "Islamic State" (IS) is using precisely the same logistical, financial and political networks to flow back into Libya that CNN's "freedom fighters" used to get to Syria in the first place. In fact, it is quite clear Libya is simply reabsorbing the mercenary forces organized and sent to Syria in part through direct US-backing in the Libyan terror capital of Benghazi since late 2011 onward.

Why Washington Welcomes the IS Homecoming

Far from truly alarming to US and European special interests, IS arriving in the lawless warzone of what used to be the functional nation-state of Libya is a welcomed reprieve for what is essentially a Washington-London-Brussels mercenary army.

Syria is not only no longer safe for IS, it has become a grave in which IS is being buried alive. This is thanks not to a successful anti-terror campaign waged by Washington and its allies, but by swift and successful operations carried out by Moscow, Tehran, and their allies in Damascus. Indeed, with IS supply lines being cut from their source in Turkey and their forces being pushed back across Syrian territory, liquidation of their assets in Syria is well underway. Likewise in Iraq, feigned US operations to stop IS have given way to an increase in cooperation between Baghdad, Tehran, and Damascus.

What started out as an attempt to divide and destroy Iran's arc of influence across the region has galvanized it instead.

Moving the mercenary forces of IS out of the region is instrumental in ensuring they "live to fight another day." By placing them in Libya, Washington and its allies hope they will be far out of reach of the growing coalition truly fighting them across the Levant. Further more, placing them in Libya allows other leftover "projects" from the "Arab Spring" to be revisited, such as the destabilization and destruction of Algeria, Tunisia and perhaps even another attempt to destabilize and destroy Egypt.

IS' presence in Libya could also be used as a pretext for open-ended and much broader military intervention throughout all of Africa by US forces and their European and Persian Gulf allies. As the US has done in Syria, where it has conducted operations for now over a year and a half to absolutely no avail, but has managed to prop up proxy forces and continue undermining and threatening targeted nations, it will likewise do so regarding IS in Libya and its inevitable and predictable spread beyond.

Despite endless pledges by the US and Europe to take on IS in Libya, neither has admitted they themselves and their actions in 2011 predictably precipitated IS' rise there in the first place. Despite the predictable danger destabilizing and destroying Libya posed to Europe, including a deluge of refugees fleeing North Africa to escape the war in Libya, predicted by many prominent analysts at the time even before the first of NATO's bombs fell on the country, the US and Europe continued forward with military intervention anyway.

One can only surmise from this that the US and Europe sought to intentionally create this chaos, planning to fully exploit it both at home and abroad to continue its campaign to geopolitically reorder MENA.

Today, we watch what appears to be "ineffective" attempts to confront the growing threat the US and its allies intentionally created in Libya in the first place. In reality, as Russia has proven in Syria, a decisive and relatively small military campaign can deal IS a deathblow. The US and Europe are more than capable of executing such a military campaign, but is intentionally avoiding doing so. This is not for a lack of political will, but rather because their collective political will instead seeks much wider chaos giving them carte blanche to act regionally with spanning, open-ended military interventions.
