Taliban Kills 10-Year-Old Soldier Hailed as War Hero

Time

The boy was known as a militia hero

The Taliban on Monday gunned down a 10-year-old soldier who had been hailed as a hero by the Afghan government for leading an attack against the terror group last year.

Wasil Ahmad was shot twice in the head by a man on a motorcycle as he walked out of his house in Tirin Kot city to buy vegetables, the New York Times reports. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, according to the newspaper.

The boy had just enrolled in the fourth grade after leaving militia life and was “no threat” to the Taliban, Rafiullah Baidar, a spokesman for the Afghan independent human rights commission, told the Times. “If they had targeted him in a military base, then they could have raised the question of what was a child doing in a military base. But he was targeted in front of his home,” Baidar said.

Wasil was widely praised after he “fought like a miracle,” shooting rockets from a roof and taking command during a Taliban siege last summer, his uncle, Mullah Abdul Samad, told the Times. "He was successfully leading my men on my behalf for 44 days until I recovered [from an injury]."

U.S. Warns of ‘Real Consequences’ as North Korea Announces Rocket Launch

Time

North Korea has announced plans to launch an observation satellite this month

(WASHINGTON) — A planned missile launch by North Korea would be "an unmistakable slap in the face" for those arguing against more sanctions in response to its recent nuclear test, the top U.S. diplomat for East Asia said Tuesday.

Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Russel's comments appeared to be directed at China, the North only major ally. He was speaking after North Korea notified international organizations that it plans to launch an observation satellite into space between Feb. 8 and Feb. 25.

He said a launch that uses ballistic missile technology would be another violation of a U.N. ban and strengthens the argument for the international community to impose "real consequences" on North Korea for destabilizing behavior.

The U.S. has been pushing for the imposition of sanctions following its Jan. 6 nuclear test. China, the North's main trading partner and source of economic assistance, has condemned that test, but is more reluctant to impose sanctions. Beijing has traditionally be concerned that putting the squeeze on its unpredictable neighbor could destabilize it.

Secretary of State John Kerry sparred with his Chinese counterpart on the issue in Beijing last week, and discussions are continuing among U.N. Security Council members on how to respond to the actions by North Korea, which already faces sanctions under multiple resolutions imposed since 2006 when the North conducted its first nuclear test.

"We share the view that there needs to be consequences to North Korea for its defiance and for its threatening behaviors. Our diplomats are in deep discussion in New York about how to tighten sanctions, how to respond to violations," Russel told reporters.

"But I would say that yet another violation by the DPRK of the U.N. Security Council resolution, coming on the heels of its nuclear test, would be an unmistakable slap in face to those who argue that you just need to show patience and dialogue with the North Koreans but not sanctions," he said, referring to the North by its official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

China to George Soros: Go Home and Never Come Back!

By Jonas E. Alexis on February 1, 2016

Jackie Chan and Jet Li may have sold their morality to Hollywood for money and fame, but the former Communist country—which throughout the 1980s was following Milton Friedman’s sophisticated form of economic theft —still cannot accept Soros’ pernicious plan

"Why am I being kicked out of so many countries? That's not fair!"

“Why am I being kicked out of so many countries? That’s not fair!”

…by Jonas E. Alexis

George Soros, who should be known as the poster boy behind subversive movements such as the Ferguson protest, is mad and sad. The Chinese have recently told the grown man (who still hasn’t learned that using people as proxy wars is not a good idea) that they are not for sale:

“China’s official newspaper warned billionaire investor George Soros not to bet against the Yuan in a front-page opinion piece, as China tries to boost confidence in its home currency, also known as the renminbi, which has dropped 5 percent since August.

“‘Soros’s war on the renminbi and the Hong Kong dollar cannot possibly succeed – about this there can be no doubt,’ said the article titled ‘Declaring war on China’s currency? Ha ha,’ published by People’s Daily, the official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party….

“China zeroed in on Soros after he told Bloomberg TV last week that he is betting against the S&P 500, Asian currencies, and resource-linked economies. Soros also said he is projecting a hard landing for China’s economy, highlighting it as one of the “root causes” of the risk-off market sentiment.”[1]

Jackie Chan and Jet Li may have sold their morality to Hollywood for money and fame, but the former Communist country—which throughout the 1980s was following Milton Friedman’s sophisticated form of economic theft[2]—still cannot accept Soros’ pernicious plan.

Perhaps China saw that Russia dumped Soros and told him to go back home. In fact, China and Russia have been trying to work together on many issues over the past few months.[3] Perhaps China saw that Soros was up to no good. Perhaps they saw the debacle in Ferguson and in Ukraine and realized that this old man is a rabble–rouser. Perhaps they saw the article at Sputnik News which says that “George Soros Support for Human Rights Watch Advances Subversive Agenda.”[4] Executive Intelligence Review Editor Jeff Steinberg declared:

“Soros’ support for drug legalization is part of his twisted notion of ‘open society’ and he uses his vast network of NGOs [non-governmental organizations] to destabilize regimes that he sees as opposing Western liberal ‘open society.’ For Soros, the open society is the permissive society, in which a kind of hedonistic calculus prevails.”[5]

Soros used his money to campaign against George W. Bush’s run for president. Yet Soros later paid at least $150,000 “for lobbying work” to Randy Scheunemann, a Jewish Neocon who was John McCain’s foreign policy adviser and later Sarah Palin’s aide.[6]

How does that work? If you are just looking at the political categories in the U.S., Soros’ pernicious activity is unexplainable. How can Soros support both so-called Democrats and Republicans at the same time?

The answer can only be found in subversive movements. People like Soros have been producing subversive ideas from time immemorial, and they will support any party that pledges allegiance to their wicked club.

[2] “Milton Friedman in China,” NY Review of Books, April 12, 2007. We will come back to the brief history of capitalism in China in a future article. For those who are eager to know, capitalism in China throughout 1800s and at the dawn of the 1900s was a complete disaster. Basically everyone was trying to find a way to get out of that system. Marxism came along and produced an equally disastrous system.

I only cite Clarke and Ricketts here as two of the people who acknowledge that capitalism did play a role in China in the 1980s. They declare that it was a great idea. But we will come back to this issue later this year.

Jon Rappoport… Three Articles about the “Zika” (virus (or virus scam), that is)

jon_rappoport_headshot_2Seems like there’s always a “virus” flying around out there every few months or years, that seem to “pop up” out of nowhere. You know it is very likely a “scam” virus if the MSM starts harping on it, again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again (that’s 10. When you get to 11, well, then you have the “MSM virus”!). So I found a JHaines post of Jon Rappoport article, and decided to post three from Jon’s website… and he’s got a lot more, just on the “Zika”.

Bottom line (if you read this to “the bottom line”) you see one possible reason this “horrible” Zika virus, previously a minor nuisance, is all of a sudden a “big problem”… Big Pharma needs more $$$!

Title and highlights from each of these three.

Is the dreaded Zika virus another giant scam? (1-28-16)

“Hysteria sells and… It’s hysteria time again. Let me run it down for you. This is the word: The dreaded Zika virus! Watch out! It’s carried by mosquitos! It can cause birth defects—babies are born with very small heads and impaired brains!

“[headline] “The rapid spread of the Zika virus has prompted Latin American governments to urge women not to get pregnant for up to two years, an extraordinary precaution aimed at avoiding birth defects believed to be linked to the mosquito-borne illness… So we now have governments warning women not to get pregnant. A new form of depopulation. Don’t get pregnant.

“Back to the Zika virus: what actually is causing mothers to give birth to babies with very small heads and impaired brains?… “The use of pesticides in Brazil grew by more than 162 percent from 2000 to 2012…”

“…this study, published in Environmental Health Perspectives… Here is a quote referring to what is now being called a prime Zika effect: “The presence versus absence of quantifiable levels of [the pesticide] atrazine or a specific atrazine metabolite was associated with fetal growth restriction… and small head circumference… Head circumference was also inversely associated with the presence of the herbicide metolachlor.” “

Zika freakout: the hoax and the covert op continue (1-29-16)

“If you want to hide anything on this planet, twist it into a (fake) story about a virus. You’re home free.

“The Zika virus, now being blamed for the birth of babies with very small heads and impaired brains, has been around for a long time—late 1940s, early 1950s—and suddenly, without warning or reason, after inducing, at best, mild illness, it’s producing horrendous damage? This is called a clue. A clue that scientific liars are lying. Furthermore, many of the women who are giving birth to deformed babies test negative for the presence of the Zika Virus.

“…”at least four foreign manufacturers sell pesticides in Brazil that they are not allowed to sell in their home markets.”How convenient for these corporate giants to evade blame for horrific birth effects—out of nowhere a virus is touted as the cause.”

Zika: genetically engineered mosquitoes causing smaller heads? (1-30-16)

“In my previous piece [above], I listed six top candidates for causing smaller heads and brain damage in Brazilian babies. None of those candidates is the Zika virus, which has a history of creating only minor illness, at worst.

“…the surge in horrendous birth defects in Brazil is happening in the same area where the GE mosquitoes were released, and thus where some of their natural-GE-hybrid offspring may have survived.

“Oh, and by the way, researchers are now “rushing” to develop a vaccine for Zika. You know, Zika, the virus that doesn’t cause anything. Perfecto.
