The Federal Reserve Is At The Heart Of The Debt Enslavement System That Dominates Our Lives

By Michael Snyder, on November 24th, 2014

The Great Seal Of The United States - A Symbol Of Your Enslavement - Photo by IpankoninFrom the dawn of history, elites have always attempted to enslave humanity. Yes, there have certainly been times when those in power have slaughtered vast numbers of people, but normally those in power find it much more beneficial to profit from the labor of those that they are able to subjugate. If you are forced to build a pyramid, or pay a third of your crops in tribute, or hand over nearly half of your paycheck in taxes, that enriches those in power at your expense. You become a “human resource” that is being exploited to serve the interests of others. Today, some forms of slavery have been outlawed, but one of the most insidious forms is more pervasive than ever. It is called debt, and virtually every major decision of our lives involves more of it. For example, at the very beginning of our adult lives we are pushed to go to college, and Americans have piled up more than 1.2 trillion dollars of student loan debt at this point. When we buy homes, most Americans get mortgages that they can barely afford, and when we buy vehicles most Americans now stretch their loans out over five or six years. When we get married, that often means even more debt. And of course no society on Earth has ever piled up more credit card debt than we have. Almost all of us are in bondage to debt at this point, and as we slowly pay off that debt over the years we will greatly enrich the elitists that tricked us into going into so much debt in the first place. At the apex of this debt enslavement system is the Federal Reserve. As you will see below, it is an institution that is designed to produce as much debt as possible.

There are many people out there that believe that the Federal Reserve is an “agency” of the federal government. But that is not true at all. The Federal Reserve is an unelected, unaccountable central banking cartel, and it has argued in federal court that it is “not an agency” of the federal government and therefore not subject to the Freedom of Information Act. The 12 regional Federal Reserve banks are organized “much like private corporations“, and they actually issue shares of stock to the “member banks” that own them. 100 percent of the shareholders of the Federal Reserve are private banks. The U.S. government owns zero shares.

Many people also assume that the federal government “issues money”, but that is not true at all either. Under our current system, what the federal government actually does is borrow money that the Federal Reserve creates out of thin air. The big banks, the ultra-wealthy and other countries purchase the debt that is created, and we end up as debt servants to them. For a detailed explanation of how this works, please see my previous article entitled “Where Does Money Come From? The Giant Federal Reserve Scam That Most Americans Do Not Understand“. When it is all said and done, the elite end up holding the debt instruments and we end up being collectively responsible for the endlessly growing mountain of debt. Our politicians always promise to get the debt under control, but there is never enough money to both fund the government and pay the interest on the constantly expanding debt. So it always becomes necessary to borrow even more money. When it was created back in 1913, the Federal Reserve system was designed to create a perpetual government debt spiral from which it would never be possible to escape, and that is precisely what has happened.

Just look at the chart that I have posted below. Forty years ago, the U.S. national debt was less than half a trillion dollars. Today, it has exploded up to nearly 18 trillion dollars…

National Debt

But the national debt is only part of the story. The big banks which control the Federal Reserve also seek to individually dominate our lives with debt. We have become a “buy now, pay later” society and the results have been absolutely catastrophic. 40 years ago, the total amount of debt in our system was just a shade over 2 trillion dollars. Today it is over 57 trillion dollars

Total Debt

The big banks do not loan you money because they want to help you achieve “the American Dream”. The elitists loan you money because it will make them wealthier. For example, if you only make the minimum payment on a credit card each month, you will end up paying back several times as much money as you originally borrowed. It is a very insidious form of debt enslavement that most Americans simply do not understand.

Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve is also systematically destroying the wealth that you already have. If you try to buck the system and actually save money, the purchasing power of that money is continually being eroded by the Federal Reserve’s inflationary policies. The following chart comes directly from the Federal Reserve and it shows how the value of the U.S. dollar has plummeted over the past 40 years…

Purchasing Power Of The Dollar

Overall, the U.S. dollar has lost approximately 98 percent of its value since the Fed was first established in 1913.

Most people seem to assume that if we could just send the “right politicians” to Washington D.C. that we could get our economy back on the right track.

What those people do not understand is that our system is fundamentally broken. We are trapped in a perpetual debt spiral that is destined to end in a horrifying collapse. Just “tweaking” a few things here or there and adjusting tax rates a bit is not going to fix anything. The vast majority of the “economic solutions” that our politicians talk about are basically equivalent to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

And of course the elite don’t want the rest of us to truly understand what is going on. Just think about it. Even though the Federal Reserve is one of the most important institutions in our society, and even though it is at the very heart of our economic system, our kids are taught next to nothing about the Fed in school. The vast majority of them have absolutely no idea where money comes from.

Isn’t that pathetic?

But the elite know that if we did understand what they were doing to us that most of us would start to get very upset. Henry Ford, the founder of Ford Motor Company, once said the following…

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and money system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”

Please share this article with as many people as you can. The truth sets people free, so let us do what we can to wake our fellow Americans up to this insidious debt enslavement system which dominates our society.

California's dry, overpopulated situation resembles the collapse of the Assyrian Empire, experts warn

Tuesday, November 25, 2014 by: Jennifer Lilley

(NaturalNews) Researchers are pointing to overpopulation and drought -- two issues which are very familiar in today's world, especially in California -- as the reasons for the collapse of the Assyrian Empire, which used to be a flourishing hub in the 7th century BC. The fall of the powerful empire left many people, even to this day, asking what could have led to its demise.

Now, experts are saying that the same issues that are currently plaguing California and many other parts of the world are the very same ones that likely led to the collapse of the once-thriving Assyrian Empire.(1)

Experts detail what likely led to the fall of the Assyrian Empire

Adam Schneider of the University of California, San Diego, along with Selim Adali of Koc University in Istanbul, Turkey, are behind the theory, which has been published in the Springer journal Climatic Change. Their hypothesis as to the downfall of so long ago have startling parallels to today's modern times. For example, regarding agriculture, the article states:

One obvious major problem would have been a shortage of food for important cities in the core area of the Empire, especially in the capital.(2)

Rising costs of produce and crop shortages are then explained, which is thought to have played a role in economic disruption.

The article, titled "'No harvest was reaped': demographic and climatic factors in the decline of the Neo-Assyrian Empire," continues:

We also strongly suspect that any economic damage inflicted upon the Assyrian Empire by drought would have served as a key stimulus for the increasing unrest which was to characterize its final decades....

When it comes to overpopulation, the gentlemen call attention to urban renovation and mass importation of laborers that ultimately "created a population level that greatly exceeded the region's natural carrying capacity, particularly during dry years."(2)

Parallels between the collapse of the Assyrian Empire and California's problems

It's hard not to see rather eerie similarities between the collapse of the Assyrian Empire and the drastic changes that are occurring in California.

In fact, it's believed that California's already-grave drought situation has no immediate end in sight; experts with the U.S. Drought Monitor estimate that approximately 82 percent of California is already in a state of severe drought. Add to that the prediction by a study from the University of California at Davis that calls for 2015 to be another dry year that will likely lead to over $1 billion in farm losses, and one can't help but question economic, food and social stability.(3)

So detrimental is the situation in California that even NASA has warned of a resulting impact that could shatter such stability globally.

They note that Californians in the Sacramento and San Joaquin River basins have lost an estimated 4 cubic miles of total water annually since 2011, more water than all 38 million Californians put together use yearly for both municipal and domestic purposes. With droughts intensifying at seemingly warp speeds, NASA warns of a domino effect that will cause one collapse after another as complications from food shortages, a fast-growing world population facing hunger and civil unrest unfold.(4)

Looking at the past to improve the future

Could California and other areas like it become the next Assyrian Empire? It would appear so.

Schneider and Adali said that "the Assyrians can be 'excused' to some extent for focusing on short-term economic or political goals which increased their risk of being negatively impacted by climate change, given their technological capacity and their level of scientific understanding about how the natural world works. We, however, have no such excuses, and we also possess the additional benefit of hindsight, which allows us to piece together from the past what can go wrong if we choose not to enact policies that promote longer-term sustainability."(2)

ISIS’ Global Network Expands: At Least 12 Military Allies in 9 Countries Beyond Iraq, Syria

An armed motorcade belonging to members of Derna's Islamic Youth Council, consisting of former members of militias from the town of Derna, drive along a road in Derna, eastern Libya, October 3, 2014. The group pledged allegiance to the Islamic State on October 3, 2014 local media reported.

The Islamic State terrorist organization now has at least 12 known military allies, operating in nine countries outside of Iraq and Syria, that have publicly pledged their allegiances to the caliphate of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

As Islamic State leadership continues to call on extremists worldwide to wreak havoc on the West, NYMag.com's Daily Intelligencer reports that the Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium (TRAC) has identified 12 international militia organizations that are now affiliating their efforts with the Islamic State's jihad and could help expand the group's caliphate.

Militia allies in Pakistan, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Indonesia, Lebanon, Philippines, Jordan and Gaza/Israel have all announced some sort of cooperation with the Islamic State and al-Baghdadi. Many of these organizations were recently affiliated with Al Qaeda and have since switched to ISIS allegiances over the summer and into the fall.

In the latest edition of ISIS' English language online magazine, Dabiq, the group details its plans for its expansion into North Africa and the Arabian Peninsuala.

"On the 17th of Muharram 1436 (Muslim year), the world heard announcements from the mujāhidīn of the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen, Sinai, Libya, and Algeria, pronouncing their [allegiances] to the Khalīfah of the Muslims, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi," the Dabiq article states. "All of them announced uniformly: We call the Muslims everywhere to give bay'ah to the Khalīfah and support him, in obedience to Allah and actualization of the unheeded obligation of the era."

In the North African country of Libya, a new group founded at the beginning of 2014, Islamic Youth Shura Council, has already made significant headway for the Islamic State by seizing control of the Mediterranean coastal town of Derna in April. Although the group initially pledged allegiance to Al Qaeda when it was first established, the group formally switched its allegiance to ISIS in June. In October, the group announced Derna as an official ISIS outpost, making it a rare ISIS-controlled town outside of Iraq and Syria.

"It is incumbent on us to support this oppressed Islamic State that is taken as an enemy by those near and those far, among the infidels or the hypocrites, or those with dead souls alike," a statement issued by Islamic Youth Shura Council states.

TRAC Editorial Director Veryan Khan told Daily Intellegencer that she believes the Islamic Youth Shura Council could have a huge impact on luring Libya's inland extremists considering the nature of the country's volatile political climate.

In Algeria, a group that once held close ties to Al Qaeda leadership called Jund al-Khilafa (Soldiers of the Caliphate), issued their pledge of allegiance to ISIS in September. This particular militia group held personal ties to Osama Bin Laden and current Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. The group's leader, Gouri Abdelmalek, issued a statement claiming Al Qaeda "has deviated from the true path."

No more than two weeks after Jund al-Khilafa publicized its ISIS affiliation, the group beheaded a French man in the name of the Islamic State to avenge for France's participation in U.S.-Coalition airstrikes against ISIS.

"The Caliphate soldiers have actually beheaded on the Islamic State's behalf," Khan said.

As was reported earlier in November, the Sinai-based Ansar Beit al-Maqdis in Egypt has pledged its support to ISIS and currently contains about 1,000 fighters. Since Egypt's Islamist president, Mohamed Morsi, was kicked out of power in July of 2013, the leadership of Ansar Beit al-Maqdis felt that it was in their best interest to pledge loyalty to ISIS in hopes that the Islamic State's leaders would provide more supplies to help the group defeat Cairo's military leadership. After the group pledged its allegiance, it was renamed to Wilayat Sinai, which means the governance of Sinai.

Ansar Beit al-Maqdis also has a branch that operates in Gaza, which has previously conducted attacks against Israel. According to TRAC, the group claimed responsibility for launching rockets into Israel in July. Since pledging its allegiance to ISIS, the Gaza branch of Ansar Beit al-Maqdis has changed its name to al-Dawla al-Islamiyya, which in English simply means "the Islamic State."

Exanding into Asia via affiliates in Pakistan, a country that consists of 97 percent muslims and has a low tolerance for blaspheming against Allah and the Prophet Muhammad, multiple militia organizations have expressed their ISIS allegiance.

Last Monday, a former Pakistani Taliban splinter group called Jundallah pledged its allegiance to the Islamic State. Jundallah joins other Pakistani Taliban militia's such as Tehreek-e-Khilafat and Jamaat al-Ahrar, who pledged allegiance over the summer. All three of the former Taliban groups had close ties with Al Qaeda leadership and as the Intelligencer points out, Al Qaeda is starting to lose much of its affiliated support due to the emergence of ISIS.

"[ISIS] is our brothers, whatever plan they have we will support them," a Jundallah spokesperson said.

In the Philippines, the group Abu Sayyat pledged allegiance to the Islamic State over the summer and has been attempting to create its Islamic governance within the archipelago. The group successfully received a $5 million ransom payment after they kidnapped and threatened to behead two German captives.

In mid July, Ashorut Tauhid, an Indonesian militia group based in Java, issued its allegiance to ISIS when the group's arrested leader pledged from inside his jail cell. However, the decision to pledge allegiance to ISIS was to the dismay of many of the group's top members, who have since left the group.

In Lebanon, the group that took credit for the 2013 bombing of the Iranian Embassy in Beirut, Free Sunnis of Baalbek Brigade, issued its allegiance to ISIS through a Twitter post in June.

The Sons of the Call for Tawhid and Jihad, a Jordan-based youth militia, that is believed to have thousands of members, denounced Al Qaeda leadership in July and offered their support to ISIS.

Although TRAC's analysis identified just 12 international militia organizations, TRAC holds that there could possibly be more groups that have pledge allegiance to ISIS but have not done so publicly.

Water wars begin in California as thieves tap fire hydrants
Tuesday, November 25, 2014 by: J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) Western states have been suffering through one of the country's worst droughts on record, but conditions have been particularly dreadful in the state of California, with its massive population and heavy agricultural production.

In fact, drought conditions have gotten so bad that theft of water is now becoming more and more common. As reported by CBS San Francisco, some of the worst theft is occurring in Clayton, California, in Contra Costa County, "a city that remains true to its western roots."

Noting that "there's even an old-time saloon" there, water has become one of the most precious of commodities -- more, even, than gold -- which is why water theft has proliferated:

The Contra Costa Water District says fire hydrants are their favorite targets, mainly along Marsh Creek Road.

They come in the dark of the night. "It's not right," said resident Delores Vargas.

Another resident, Marvin Taylor, agreed. "People who aren't authorized to get into a fire hydrant shouldn't be doing that," he said, according to CBS San Francisco.

Increased fines and penalties but will they help?

And yet, theft of water from fire hydrants is increasing; the water is clean, and thieves can either sell it or use it to keep down dust, which has really gotten bad as the drought conditions worsen.

Officials with the water district have said that the rash of thefts has grown too large to simply ignore.

"If there was some sort of contamination back in to the hydrant, that would affect the residents that are feeding off of that system," Jennifer Allen, a spokesperson for Water District, told the local CBS affiliate

"People don't listen," added resident Marie Gomes. "They think they can do whatever they want with it, but it's not right."

The rising incidents of theft have caused the county to crack down. In fact, county board members are set to approve a new ordinance that raises the fine for first-time water theft offenders from $25 to $250. And if a thief is caught a second time, the fine spikes to $500.

In a separate report, PBS reported that with worsening drought conditions water theft has become an issue all over the state.

Water has become the unlikely subject of black market dealings in some the California's worst-hit areas. With nearly 60 percent of the state currently experiencing exceptional drought -- the highest level of drought designated by the U.S. Drought Monitor -- and chances of a full recovery this winter looking unlikely, reports of water being stolen from private tanks or siphoned from public rivers are increasing.

Illegal marijuana cultivation a major culprit

In one case, thousands of gallons of the new liquid gold were taken from a fire station in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, National Journal reported; the station is vitally important because it protects the surrounding community and forest from forest fires, among other threats. What's more, the discovery came at the peak of the wildfire season, which caused consternation among local officials and community members as they pondered the dangerous implications of the thefts.

NBC Bay Area reported that a major source of theft comes as a result of illegal marijuana cultivation, and this is particularly true in the rural areas of Northern California. The report said thieves were siphoning off billions of gallons of water from nearby rivers and streams; many cultivation sites are operating on state and national park lands, leading some to become concerned, too, about major environmental damage. PBS said the illegal theft of stream water was endangering California salmon.

Some local and federal California lawmakers are moving to mitigate the thefts or, at least, make anyone caught stealing water feel much more legal heat. They include U.S. Rep. Jared Huffman, a Democrat, who recently announced that the U.S. Sentencing Committee had finished guidelines for a new legislation called the Protecting Lands Against Narcotics Trafficking Act. Huffman introduced the measure in 2013 to increase punishment for anyone caught cultivating illegal marijuana grow sites.

"Especially this year, the worst drought year California has ever seen, it's more important than ever to crack down on water theft," Rep. Huffman told NBC Bay Area.
