IMMIGRATION REFORM
7/17/2010 12:25:31 AM

The Holy Bible says,
Do not mistreat an alien or oppress him,...
(Exodus 22:21).

Do not oppress an alien;...
(Exodus 23:9).

The same laws and regulations will apply both to you
and to the alien living among you. (Numbers 15:16).

" 'You are to have the same law for the alien and the native-born.
I am the LORD your God.' " (Leviticus 24:22).

Mosaic Law does not apply to us. That law was for the Isrealites, and it was done away with about 2000 years ago, and replaced with a "more pefect" law. We are meanwhile, required to obey the law of the land, unless it conflicts with Gods (current) law. Mathew 15:21 "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."

This of course does not mean we should persecute people because they are different. On the contrary, as we read in Mathew 25:33-46, we should be kind to all.

Generally, the issue with Immigration reform stems from problems with illegal immigrants. Illegal, of course meaning against the law. And this law is not in contradiction to Gods (current) Law, so it is a sin to break it. Just as it is wrong to lie, cheat, or steal.
