WEll Now,, getting back to the topic at hand.. I wold like to present you with a little power point presentation that I made a while back. It kinda sums up my feelings about the social injustice in MOLDLAND. This will give you an idea about where I'm heading with this forum. I hope the link works.. I am not very computer literate yet.. I am the guy who once thought that the world wide web was an indication of an impending attack on the world by a ,,,,,,,very large spider

Welcome back, Bill. I hope you are feeling better now. Let us know how you are doing.

I am interested in learning more about the toxic mold.

Hi Donna.. It is so nice to see you again. Thanks for stopping by. I am doing pretty well now. I still have some health problems but nothing I can't handle. Things are coming together nicely.. In fact,, I just got a machine today that converts phone conversations into text so I can now read what people are trying to tell me on the phone.. the good thing about losing my hearing is that it makes me pay more attention to what people are saying.. LOL I read lips pretty well now but,, still,, there are some misunderstandings.. Sometimes my interpretation is way off and my friends just start laughing.. So,, it actually adds something to the spice of life.
Oncwe I get going here there will be a lot of information. I have learned so much and there is so much research that I never knew about before I got sick.. Did you see my power point presentation from my last post here.. That will kind of give yu an idea where I am heading with this forum. That and the personal tragedies that people endure.. Did you know that 500,000 die every year in this country from mold related illnesses.. And that is a very conservative estimate.. It is a modern day tragedy that many people don't know about and that the medical community ignores..
Oh Well,, I didn't mean to ramble... It is vwery nice seeing you again Donna.. Please stop by often.
May a smile follow you to sleep each night and,,,,,be there waiting,,,,,when you awaken http://community.adlandpro.com/forums/8212/ShowForum.aspx Sincerely, Billdaddy

Greetings All
To put things in perspective, I would like to present you with a complete list of the possible symptoms of mold related illness. This list may seem rediculously long but remember,, there are thousands of species of mold. Most people suffering with a mold related illness will have at least 8 of these symptoms.. Many will have 20,, 30, or more. I had 32 of them at one time but many of them have improved now..If you have some of these symptoms and are having a difficult time finding an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment,, you may find you answers in mold. There is one symptom that I cannot find on this list. Deafness or hearing loss.. I have it and so do many other people that I know and it is related to mold exposure.
. In alphatibetical order, this just about covers every possible symptom. Only those afflicted would not be suprised at the number of symptoms experienced by the average mold victim. Others may think you are crazy when you mention your symptoms. Some people actually believe they are crazy but, in reality, having 20, 30 or more of these symptoms is not uncommon. What is uncommon is finding a Dr who believes you and can treat for these symptoms. How can they possibly treat an illness they they refuse to diagnose.

Pulmonary hemorrhaging:
Stachybotrys chartarum (S. atra) is a large sticky spore not easily made airborne. Stachybotrys mycotoxin was thought to cause acute pulmonary hemorrhage and death in infants, but the CDC has stated that the association has not been proved).
About 10 ng of mycotoxins are produced for every 1 million mold spores [Probably widely variable from zero to high numbers based on environmental variables as well as species variation--DF].
Assuming the exposure is cumulative, inhalation of 109 spores per hour would be required for toxic effects. [This is a very low level and easily obtained in circumstances where occupants are exposed to moldy building materials during demolition or cleaning.-- DJF]
Therefore, [in the opinion of some experts--DF] it is unlikely that inhalation of fungal parts presumed to contain mycotoxins could produce significant human illness--particularly in a nonagricultural setting.

The US CDC offers lab criteria for diagnosis of Trichothecend poisoning including:
Biologic: Selected commercial laboratories are offering immunoassays to identify trichothecenes or trichothecene-specific antibodies in human blood or urine (2, 3). However, these procedures have not been analytically validated and are not recommended.
Environmental: Detection of trichothecene mycotoxins in environmental samples, as determined by FDA.

Hi William,

You will be impressed to see what Gary has done, not only the causes, but he has tracked young children for the past 20 years and now, with his treatment of diet, etc (not on top of all he does-can not remember) he has results that it is reversed especially when children were very young. The changes are 98% improved in all areas. People did not recognize these grown up children that showed NO degree of the autism at all in action, behavior or speech. The older the person who started the program, the lower percentage of change with this program. However, remarkable change when most people thing nothing is going to help!

Good luck , God Bless and I will check in now and then to see how you are doing!
Your Friend,
Mary

Anyway do check it out FYI and what has been done to date on his end! His website is great with lots of info to start.
