President Barack Obama and new Iranian President Hassan Rouhani spoke by telephone on Friday, the highest-level contact between the two countries in three decades and a sign that both sides are serious about reaching a pact on Tehran’s nuclear program.

Obama, who pledged as a presidential candidate in 2007 his willingness to have direct contact with U.S. adversaries, had hoped to cross paths with Rouhani at the U.N. General Assembly, but the Iranian side decided an encounter was too complicated.

On Friday, however, the Iranians said Rouhani was interested in a phone discussion before he left the United States, according to a senior administration official, and the White House quickly arranged the call which took place at 2:30 p.m. (1830 GMT) and lasted about 15 minutes.

Speaking to reporters, Obama said both men had directed their teams to work quickly toward an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program. He said this was a unique opportunity to make progress with Tehran over an issue that has isolated it from the West.

“While there will surely be important obstacles to moving forward and success is by no means guaranteed, I believe we can reach a comprehensive solution,” Obama said at the White House.

“The test will be meaningful, transparent, and verifiable actions, which can also bring relief from the comprehensive international sanctions that are currently in place,” against Iran, Obama said.

Rouhani, in his Twitter account, said that in the conversation he told Obama “Have a Nice Day!” and Obama responded with “Thank you. Khodahafez (goodbye).” He added that the two men “expressed their mutual political will to rapidly solve the nuclear issue.”

The United States cut diplomatic relations with Iran a year after the 1979 revolution that toppled U.S. ally Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and led to a diplomatic crisis in which 52 Americans were held hostage for 444 days.

The price of oil fell on Friday as tensions eased between the United States and Iran after the Obama-Rouhani phone call.

“The phone call was an important milestone – a calculated risk by two cautious leaders mindful of domestic constraints,” said Yasmin Alem, senior fellow at Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center. “More than anything else it shows the high level of political capital invested in a peaceful resolution of the nuclear crisis.”

HISTORIC CALL

The telephone call, the first between the heads of government of the two nations since 1979, came while Rouhani was heading to the airport after his first visit to the U.N. General Assembly, according to a statement on Rouhani’s official website.

Secretary of State John Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif have been asked to follow up on the Obama-Rouhani conversation, the statement added.

“The biggest taboo in Iranian politics has been broken. This is the beginning of a new era,” said Ali Vaez, a senior Iran analyst at the International Crisis Group.

As president, Rouhani is the head of the government but has limited powers. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is the ultimate authority in Iran with final say on domestic and foreign policy, though Rouhani says he has been given full authority to negotiate on the nuclear issue.

Obama nodded to that power dynamic in his remarks, saying both men had given signals that Iran would not pursue nuclear arms.

“Iran’s Supreme Leader has issued a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons. President Rouhani has indicated that Iran will never develop nuclear weapons,” Obama said.

“I have made clear that we respect the right of the Iranian people to access peaceful nuclear energy in the context of Iran meeting its obligations.”

Western powers say they believe Iran has been pursuing nuclear weapons for some time. Iran says its aims are peaceful and focused on energy production.

An Obama administration official said the United States had told the Israeli government about the Obama-Rouhani call. Israel is deeply skeptical about the shift in Iran’s rhetoric and has warned its allies to be wary of Rouhani.

Rouhani was on a charm offensive during his week in New York, repeatedly stressing Iran’s desire for normal relations with Western powers and denying it wanted a nuclear arsenal, while urging an end to sanctions that are crippling its economy.

OUTREACH

In his speech to the 193-nation U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday, Obama cautiously embraced Rouhani’s gestures as the basis for a possible nuclear deal and challenged him to demonstrate his sincerity.

However, the failure to orchestrate a handshake between the two leaders that day, apparently because of Rouhani’s concerns about a backlash from hardliners at home seemed to underscore how hard it may be to make diplomatic progress.

Rouhani, who took office last month, told a news conference earlier on Friday he hoped talks with the United States and five other major powers “will yield, in a short period of time, tangible results,” on a nuclear deal. But he was less specific than he had been on Tuesday about the time scale.

He said Iran would bring a plan to resolve the decade-long dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program to an October meeting with the six powers in Geneva.

He offered no details about that plan, but emphasized that Tehran’s nuclear ambitions are entirely peaceful.

We hear today that President Obama had a phone call with President Rouhani of Iran, beginning contact with two regimes which have both regarded each other as the Great Satan.

Is this an isolated event or is there a shift in the wind?

Aisha North’s sources attribute it to the rising energies and tell us we’ll begin to see the results of all the work that the Company of Heaven has been doing, directing powerful energies to us.

“This energy is doing wonders, not just for you, but for your whole world. And now, you will start to see the results from all of this even in the so-called mass media. For if you open your eyes and look around, you will indeed detect a change in the atmosphere on a global level.

“The rhetoric of hatred and fear is starting to fade away in some of the hotspots around your world, and instead, you will find the talk of reason passing over the lips of leaders hitherto more interested in spreading distrust and inciting anger in their fellow men.” (1)

Certainly that’s what we saw in the phone call between two leaders of nations who have been at loggerheads with each other traditionally.

Of course you and I know that, even if Iran produced nuclear weapons, the galactics would never allow them to be capable of exploding. The real reason behind wanting to bomb Iran was to start World War III, the end game of those who caused 9/11 to begin a march towards world domination. They have utterly failed.

The populace at large has turned its face against warfare, the Hathors tell us.

“While events on your world stage could nearly seem to be repetitive of Atlantis, we can lovingly reiterate that the will of your populace is far too against an escalation of warfare for it to take place.

“This could be seen as a prediction, but we say this simply because of your collective energy and will as they stand at present.” (2)

The hunger for peace, Saul says, is “being particularly well demonstrated by the international negotiations and discussions concerning the conflict in Syria.” But “there are also the world economic, sociological, poverty, and religious problems that are finally receiving the urgent attention needed to resolve them.”

“All of this shows very clearly that the human collective is making the essential choice to change direction and look at its problems from a new and much wiser perspective. The collective will is for peace, security, and abundance for all its members and it understands that forceful or dogmatic intervention is not the path to satisfactory resolution of these issues.” (3)

The Arcturian Group also feels that people are beginning to wake up to the fact that wars and violence have solved nothing.

“In the past, power, violence, and dominance were acceptable solutions between differing countries… war. As you have seen, the majority of people are no longer resonating with solutions that consist of war and violence.

“People are beginning to awaken to the realization that they have for too long witnessed one fruitless war after another, initiated by those who stood to enrich themselves in some way without regard to those actually doing the fighting and under the guise of freedom and security.

“Mankind is waking up Dear Ones, and this is how it appears. The world is discovering that it no longer resonates with ideas born of energies representing duality and separation regardless of how these ideas are promoted – you have evolved.

“This how it works and it often takes a great deal of courage to step out and be separate, but always remember – you are never alone.” (4)

Aisha North’s sources promise that we will see many more indications that the world has chiosen peace.

“So much is already getting into gear, as we just mentioned. You will see many examples of this on all sides, and even amongst the highest echelons of your governments, the sense that the tide has turned will in many ways become apparent now. Not neccessarily in outwardly noticeable actions, but more as a sense of impending change that will make many a heart flutter.” (5)

They remind us that “the much prophesied Armageddon in that hot spot you prefer to refer to as the Middle East has not come about either. Is it not interesting to see how they are all frantically scampering about trying to find a peaceful solution there?” (6)

The calming of the Middle East, they say, has nothing to do with chance.

“The defusing of the situation in that current hotspot has nothing to do with chance, and everything to do with the massive injection of light that has been pouring into that area for quite some time now.” (7)

And lightworkers have contributed to it, they say.

“And if some of you start to think that perhaps you had something to do with this process, the answer is simply a resounding YES. For you are all working oh so hard on behalf of all of creation in all sorts of ways, and so in addition to all of the personal issues you have been clearing out lately, you have been true multitaskers in every sense of the word.” (9)

Sanat Kumara (“Raj”) answered a caller on Heavenly Blessings who asked if the war drums were quietening down:

“It is the beginning of peace and the desire for the cessation of conflict, whether it is in a home or a nation. And yes, as a planet you are beginning to declare yourself. You cannot believe the jubilation that is occurring not only with your star brothers and sisters, but throughout the Company of Heaven. So yes, it has begun.” (10)

When asked what more we could do to promote peace, Raj answered.

“It is to simply hold the sense of inner peace and to eradicate by giving away for the collective that sense of the need to be right. Because the need to be right is what leads to wars.” (11)

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I have, that my own sense of a need to be right, to go first in a line, or to ensure that I get my “fair share,” etc., is on the decline. There are many who still crowd the door at a bus stop or race for first place in a grocery-store line-up, but there are also others who notice the conduct and smile at each other.

We’re definitely in the midst of a global social shift and for now it has removed war from the range of possible solutions to disagreement. We’re now seeing overtures to peace.

The UN Security Council has unanimously adopted a resolution outlining the details of taking under international control and ultimately destroying Syria’s chemical arsenal.

“Today’s historic resolution is the first hopeful news on Syria in a long time,” UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told the council immediately after the vote.

The Syrian sides must engage constructively in the upcoming Geneva 2 conference, which would be a significant step towards the “creation of a democratic state that guarantees the human rights of all in Syria,” Moon said in his address to the Council.

“The regional actors have a responsibility to challenge those who will actively undermine the process and those who do not fully respect Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity,” he added.

The target date for a new peace conference in Geneva was set for mid-November. However, the Syrian opposition should be represented at the Geneva peace talks in a single delegation, the Secretary-General said.

The adopted resolution calls for consequences if inspectors decide that Syria has failed to fulfill its obligations. The nature of the reaction, however, will depend on another resolution which would have to be passed in the event of non-compliance.

‘The resolution does not fall under Chapter 7 of the UN Charter and does not allow any automatic enforcement of coercive measures,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after the Security Council vote.

The UN Security Council resolution on chemical weapons in Syria will have to be observed not only by the Syrian authorities, but also by the opposition, Lavrov stressed.

“The responsibility for the implementation of this resolution does not only lie on the government of Syria,” he said.

The chemical weapons resolution on Syria establishes a framework for overcoming the ongoing political crisis. According to Lavrov, the Syrian opposition is also obliged to work with international experts as required by the Security Council resolution.

“We hope that more and more scattered groups of the Syrian opposition will finally be able – as the Syrian government has already done for a long time – to declare its readiness to participate in an international conference without preconditions,” Lavrov said.

The Council’s vote comes after a consensus was reached earlier on Friday by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in regards to the proposal.

The five veto-wielding members had agreed upon the text on Thursday before presenting the draft to the full 15-member body during overnight discussions.

The draft resolution is fully in line with the Geneva framework on the destruction of chemical weapons in Syria, Sergey Lavrov told the press earlier on Thursday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly’s 68th session.

The awakening of humanity is almost upon you. Yes, you have been hearing this for some considerable time, and that is because you, through humanity’s collective intent, is bringing it about and you need to be regularly reminded to hold the intention for it to happen.

You also need to hold the intention to be constantly loving as you release all within yourselves that is not in alignment with the divine field of Love that forever embraces you. The vast majority of you want to be loving, nevertheless, many also hold a deep desire to see the “wrongdoers” on your world exposed and shamed, and even possibly punished for their nefarious activities.

You have all at some time been wrongdoers, and over many human lifetimes you have learnt that by being wrongdoers you hurt yourselves as much as you hurt others, but it is easy to forget that when you are incarnate as humans – amnesia is one of the limitations with which you have to deal. Consequently, we keep reminding you so that you remain focused on your task to be loving always and thus help humanity to awaken. Many of the present wrongdoers are being exposed, but you must release your charge on seeing them blamed and punished for the various atrocities that they have perpetrated – REMEMBER all are one! Any blame, shame, or punishment hurts all of humanity!

You are all divine creations of infinite value, infinitely and unconditionally loved by your heavenly Father – who wills only Love and never punishment for His children – and in order to return to His Presence you must release all that is not in harmony with His loving intent for all of His creation. Many of you have discovered that by daily making the intent to be only loving your stress levels and your fears and anxieties have been considerably reduced. When you are at peace within it is far easier to be loving, which is why it is essential to your well-being that you enter your quiet inner space frequently, even if only for a moment, to renew your intentions. When you feel truly at peace you have no desire to attack, punish, or shame anyone. And regular meditation, or just relaxation, as you rest in that place of inner stillness strengthens your ability to remain peaceful even when there is chaos all around you.

Your loving intent, your loving presence is extremely powerful; it acts as a profoundly stabilizing influence on those in your vicinity, calming the energies of fear that can lead to conflict and encouraging all to seek peaceful solutions to issues that concern or worry them. And in your energy field, that you hold and share with those around you, miracles will occur. You desire miracles, you can create miracles, so intend to do so. Expect them, and enjoy the results. As more and more of humanity turns to Love the numbers of miracles will also increase as will their significance, reinforcing and strengthening your awareness of them.

Miracles should occur frequently because your nature is Love, and Love loves miracles because they are God’s Will for you. You open yourselves to creating miracles when you open fully to Love and let go of fear and anxiety. Fear and anxiety are negative intentions that prevent miracles, so let your faith in your divine nature intensify until you feel very secure in it, then there will be no space for fear or any of its unpleasant aspects. When you let go of fear, all sense of need for security or defenses evaporates because you are then aware that you are secure and that no further precautions or defenses are required to provide something you have always had.

Fear expects things to go wrong, that accidents or catastrophes will happen, and it encourages you to take precautions to limit the damage that may occur. But focusing your attention there is akin to intending that things go wrong, and the power of your intent is awesome. Many of you have experienced this, when things you greatly feared came to pass. Where you focus your attention is where you focus your intent; so focus on Love.

In this New Age, the field of divine energy enveloping Earth and all her inhabitants is far stronger and more effective than it has ever been in your entire history because humanity has made the decision to awaken from the illusion. That decision is irreversible. It means that the corner has been turned from fear to Love, and the effects of that decision are being seen more and more clearly all over the planet. Situations that had seemed insoluble or likely to extend humanity’s suffering are losing their fearful intensity, their sense of impending conflict, and they are recasting themselves as situations in which those involved find themselves opening to Love and allowing compassionate discussion to supersede any desire for competitive confrontation that would lead to winners and losers. Instead, an arena in which all will win has replaced the arena of mistrust, betrayal, and war that humanity has used for so long that it had come to believe that there was no other adequate way to resolve conflicts. Even though those ways never worked!

You are fully enveloped in the New Age with its light and loving energies. You know that! Deep within yourselves you do know, and when you enter your space of quiet inner peace you can feel it. Focus on it, remind yourselves that it is true, and then wholeheartedly accept and embrace the Love that is sweeping and swirling all around you, and intend that all of humanity feel it and engage with it, and bring yourselves and humanity out of the dark dream that has brought you so much suffering.

Many of you are experiencing emotional turmoil as your unaddressed issues keep bursting into your awareness in ways that seriously unsettle you but which do not seem to have any identifiable cause. All you need to do is acknowledge them.

There is absolutely no need at all to identify a cause or a lesson that they might be presenting to you which requires you to offer restitution or self-abasement. By simply accepting them and letting them be – letting them, as it were, rest in your conscious awareness – you release your attachment to them so that they can pass through, as they will, rather like the weather.

It is a case of allowing yourselves to forgive yourselves for any and all errors and mistakes, including any belief that some of your deeply buried and unrecognized thoughts, words, or actions may have seriously harmed others. Your discomfort arises from unacknowledged issues that you have denied because you fear that you have done things and taken part in activities that are unforgivable.

But all that is part of the illusion, and in truth never happened – because it is illusory, unreal. You are all beings of Love, and although you have at times apparently “misbehaved,” it is now time for you to release any guilt, shame, or emotional suffering by allowing it to pass through your minds without engaging with it. Love is reasserting Itself as your true Essence and dissolving every remaining unreal and unloving aspect of yourselves that you have clung to, along with the illusion itself.

There is no sin. All consciousness is one with God, Who is infinite Love in infinite abundance, and therefore every conscious entity is and always has been pure Love – and nothing else. That is difficult for you to grasp as you observe the conflicts on Earth, both present and from your long history, and the immense amounts of suffering that they have caused. In the illusion there is and has been much suffering that humanity has experienced as very, very real, but you are all on your paths out of the illusion and home to Reality where your true presence has always been, and where you remain, eternally present.

Love is your nature, and at the depths of your Essence, as you experience it in the illusion, you have no desire and never have had the desire or intent to hurt or offend anyone, even though you have engaged in a game of doing so. Love – you, as you truly are – could never intend anything that is in the slightest way unloving because there is nothing that is unloving.

Within the illusion that incontrovertible truth seems impossible to believe or accept, and that is why you find it so difficult to forgive, unless and until you have seen the guilty one – yourself or another – discovered, judged, blamed, shamed, and punished. This is the biggest stumbling-block on your path to awakening: non-forgiveness.

The absolute essentiality of forgiving, if personal peace and self-acceptance is to be achieved, is now recognized by mainstream psychology. It is a very recent recognition. Previously, and for eons, all that is unforgiving was believed to be normal because even the gods you had invented would not forgive. In the last one hundred years enormous progress has been made by humanity on its spiritual path of evolution, as shown just by your recognition of this one momentous but long-denied truth.

Nevertheless, there are still many on Earth who, because of the pain and suffering they have undergone in their present lives or in past ones, are unable and unwilling to accept that forgiveness is a loving balm that heals all wounds. Those of you reading or listening to this know this is the truth, but some of you also have difficulty with it because of your own personal and very intense suffering, or, more likely, due to your awareness of and involvement in the apparently utterly unjustifiable suffering that others are undergoing.

So when you go within to that quiet and inviolate inner space to which each of you has access, ask those in the spiritual realms on whom you call for help to assist you in understanding and then accepting that forgiveness is the balm that heals all wounds. Then practice forgiving. Not conditional forgiving: “Only if that person acknowledges their error, apologizes, or promises never again to make it, will I forgive them!” But unconditional forgiving. . . forgiving without any conditions at all.

By doing so you release the charge you have on the one you are forgiving, and the words or actions which caused you pain no longer fester in your mind, demanding restitution or an apology which may never be forthcoming. By holding on to offenses committed against you, you deny yourselves healing and cause yourselves further pain. By forgiving, you free yourselves; your stress levels fall, and you start to live in the now moment where you can enjoy smelling the roses.

Keep reminding yourselves: “Forgiveness is the loving balm that heals all wounds.” Deep within, you know this is the truth, so practice it until it becomes automatic, and enjoy the peace, the calm, and the freedom it brings you. And when you have forgiven, a most amazing thing will happen. Because, Love having filled your heart, you will realize that in truth there was never anything to forgive. . . because there is only Love. . . which can never be hurt, offended, or angered. It can only Love!
