Saudi-backed religious center opens in Austria

VIENNA (AP) — U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Monday urged Israel and Hamas to respect their cease-fire but said only mutual recognition of Israel's right to exist and an independentPalestine could ensure permanent peace in the region.

Ban commented during ceremonies launching a Saudi-sponsored and funded center in Vienna meant to promote dialogue between the world's main religions. Ban's pointed remarks were in contrast with other speakers who spoke in general terms about the need for religious understanding.

"I am determined to ensure that the cease-fire is sustained," he said about last week's agreement between Israel and Hamas committing both sides to stop hostilities and easing concerns of an Israeli invasion of Gaza.

Ban said that while both sides must adhere to the cease-fire, the ultimate goal in the region had to be a "two-state solution ending the (Israeli) occupation and the conflict," adding: "This is critical to regional stability."

The U.N. chief also said he is concerned about the destruction of religious artifacts by extremists in Mali, citing it as an example of the need to "promote long-term mutual understanding that transcends religious, national, cultural and ethnic boundaries."

Other dignitaries at the ceremonial launch at Vienna's ornate Hofburg palace included Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Austrian and Spanish counterparts, Michael Spindelegger and Jose Manual Garcia-Margallo y Marfil.

Their presence reflected their countries' backing for the center, even though the Saudis are playing the most prominent role in organizing it and meeting its expenses for the first three years.

The three spoke in over-all terms about the need to overcome religious differences and expressed hope that the center would achieve that goal.

But Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, in charge of interfaith dialogue for the Vatican departed from the script, indirectly criticizing Saudi Arabia for not allowing any religion other than Islam.

"Everyone is expecting ... honesty, vision and credibility" from the center, he said, adding it must work for "religious freedom in all its aspects for everybody," including "in countries where such freedoms are not guaranteed."

The center's board consists of three Christians, three Muslims, a Jew, a Buddhist and a Hindu. Backers hope it will promote increased tolerance not only in Europe but also in Saudi Arabia, where the ruling royal family must move cautiously in implementing reforms because of resistance from the powerful clergy.

But detractors, including Austria's Green party and moderate Muslim groups, say Saudi Arabia — home to the conservative brand of Wahhabi Islam — is the last country that should be hosting initiatives on religious coexistence. They say the center could be used to spread Islamic fundamentalism in Europe.

Rainbow waterfallsArchangel Michael Through Ron Head: See the First Trickles of Wondrous Change and Know in your Hearts the Vast Floods are Following

As channeled by Ron Head – November 27

We perceive at this time your beautiful anticipation and your efforts to ready yourselves for the twelve-twelve gateway. Please do not allow yourselves to go into the energy of stress over this, dear ones. Your course has been set by your desire and intentions.

We are working with you every moment, especially during your cycles of sleep. You are in the flow so firmly now that you should be able to just allow yourselves to be carried along with the current. We would ask you to use three images for the next few days.

First, please be sure that, as often as you can think of it, you ground yourselves firmly into the energies of your dear mother earth. Our channel uses the image of a vast system of roots, as those of a great tree. This will work nicely indeed if you have not an image of your own.

Next, as you feel the wonderful flow of unconditional love surrounding you, please see yourselves sharing it with the entire network of lightworkers on and around the planet.

And finally, breathe into your heart, find your love and gratitude for all that is transpiring, and send that gratitude to the source of your life. Be thankful for all that you are and all that you are becoming. What you feel in those moments, allow yourselves to sit in, float in, absorb into every cell of your being.

Some of you, most of you, are getting momentary glimpses, hints, moments of insight, into what may be approaching for you. These will expand, slowly for some, explosively for others. Savor them, rejoice in them, but perhaps hold them for now quietly in your hearts. Let their energies grow within you. You will know when to share them.

Meantime, as the tsunami of internal change approaches, please await it with joy and love. It is, after all, the answer to your collective prayers and the hopes of billions over vast stretches of your cycles of time. See the first trickles of wondrous change and know in your hearts the vast floods are following.

Hold our hands tightly now and prepare to step into your future. Hold us in your hearts as we hold you in ours. Good day.

No Negativity can Survive in the Higher Realms

2012 NOVEMBER 27
Posted by Steve Beckow

The Physical Plane to the best of my knowledge is the only plane in which such things as crime can exist. Once on even the Astral Plane, criminals are sorted out and must remain in what is variously called the Dark Planes or the Winterlands until they reincarnate again in the Physical Plane.

But if we go a plane higher – to the Fifth Dimension or Mental Plane – no negative vibrations at all can enter there. There is no “Dark Plane” or “Winterland.” They’re left far behind.

As Ker-On of Venus tells us: “No more shall you be at the mercy of the dark powers, as they cannot enter the higher dimensions with their lower vibrations.” (1)

Matthew Ward tells us that all situations of a negative character will be left behind when we raise our vibrations:

“Situations that have been a plague on the planet – wars, murders, rape and other violence; man-made diseases and weather; governments’ surveillance of citizens; police brutality, unjust laws, false accusations and imprisonment; sales of weaponry and other war equipment; sex slavery, child molestation, pornography – ALL issues derived from the influence of the darkness – will diminish until they cease entirely because of peoples’ heightened consciousness and spiritual clarity.” (2)

It’s love that will transform the world, he tells us. It will root out negativity of all kinds. Many of us see that happening now after 11/11, all our vasanas and negativity coming to the surface to be released.

“The negativity that is the root of fear, greed, dishonor and violence will be gone in the Golden Age, and the vibrations of Earth’ s entirety will be LOVE. Love, which is the same energy as LIGHT but simply expressed differently, is the pure essence of Creator, the ultimate power in the cosmos. This energy is the composition of souls and the key to opening hearts and illumining minds, and it is flowing more abundantly on Earth than ever before.

“As the darkness continues to fade, love will replace conflict and tyranny with peace and cooperation; love will eliminate the superficial superiority of one group over another; love will enlighten those who regard others as possessions or dispensable and uplift those who have been subjected to living in those conditions. In short, LOVE is the power that is transforming your world.” (3)

Not only will we feel more loving, but we’ll be unable to express anything but the truth, SaLuSa informs us.

“There is no place in the higher dimensions for the lower vibrations that you are experiencing. The Light is such that nothing except the truth can exist within it, and not only that even thoughts need to be pure as each soul knows what another one is thinking. However, there is privacy where ones desire to dwell within their personal daydreams.

“As you raise your vibrations, so being of the truth becomes quite natural to you, and is part of the love you feel for all souls. Believe us it is not difficult to live up to the higher expression of yourselves. We understand your problems on Earth as you can be often disadvantaged by telling the truth, or get another person into trouble. The importance lies with how you think from within and your intentions.” (4)

Some of us may remember living in neighborhoods where we didn’t have to lock our doors. We’ll be returned to that kind of environment, SaLuSa tells us: “It will be quite a new experience to know that every other person with you is of the same vibrations, and to be trusted and honest in all of their contact with you.” (5)

“To live in peace without any threat to it,” he says, “will be a wonderful feeling of freedom and joy.”

“The problems of health and the challenge of mere existence that beset you in the third dimension will no longer be a factor in your lives. It is difficult to convey the absolute feeling of happiness and contentment, which has to be experienced to be appreciated.” (6)

Not only will crime, disease, war and other negative conditions be gone, but the memories of them will also fade, he says.

“Memories of unpleasant experiences will eventually fade completely into the background of your consciousness, and in time be forgotten. Often the only thing that keeps them in your minds, is the pain and distress experienced, but once in the higher vibrations you will cease to bring them back.” (7)

Therefore we’re advised to keep focusing on what’s to come and let the past melt away into the past.

“We keep you looking straight ahead, as there will come a time when the past will have little influence over you. Once you have ascended and your consciousness levels greatly expanded, you will in effect disconnect from memories of being in the lower vibrations. They will no longer be of importance, but nevertheless the experience you gained will always be with you.” (8)

He reminds us of the total journey we’re on, from God to God, of which this Ascension is just a step.

“You are forever on a spiritual journey finding your way back to the Source, and that applies to all souls with no exception. So you can see that wherever you meet other souls, you will have a lot in common and not least of all that you originally came from the Source.” (9)

We’re a mere 24 days from the shift that will carry us out of negativity and into what will seem like paradise compared to life as we know it. Over the next few days and weeks, I’ll try to post as many previews of our life in the higher realms as I can so that we’re as prepared as we can be for what’s apparently coming.

Angela Peregoff: Divine Creation is Pulsing Like Never Before

By Angela Peregoff – November 26, 2012

http://www.angelaperegoff.com/angelas-blog/

Expanded awareness is an absolute must for making sense of what is occurring in today’s world and beyond. Interesting, awesome and strange shiftings have become an every day event, but this week the mists of evolution that enfold us are of a harmonizing culmination.

While all energy transpires on multiple levels of reality, producing numerous probable outcomes my guess is that by the time we are witnessing the full Moon lunar eclipse (11/28) later this week we will be able to say, “it’s a good week”. The lunar shower that is arriving will bestow Gaia with a “spa effect” of vitality and rejuvenation. She is ready to step into that space of deep relaxation and total peace that happens when we pamper ourselves.

To be in harmony with her this week I suggest creating pampering of your own and avoid any undue stress. Take each day as it comes and flow through your week as a component of Universal Harmony.

Along the way notice the responsibility you have to serve yourself, learning to receive as much as you give. That can be a challenge to embrace and embody as you have been taught that it is selfish. Consider though that selfishness is not the same as serving self. Selfishness does not consider every soul in the experience but serving Self does nothing but that.

You have a responsibility this week to assimilate the balancing harmonizations that have settled upon us recently. If you make dedicated time over the next weeks to give yourself what you need your earthly experiences will be lived with a great sense of ease and embodiment. Pay attention to what is happening within you and around you and allow your internal authenticity to balance the external.

In my home country last week we celebrated Thanksgiving. For many of us it was a day of appreciation and gratitude for the blessings in our lives. As your ambassador of cosmic castings each week I would urge you to also include a thank you this week for the galactic adventure we are on as we follow the tracks of the Sacred through the vast regions of Ascension.

I know that I can wholeheartedly give thanks for the forever technology coming through my House of Light (the body) that is anchoring the foundation for the Age of Peace. And I appreciate of all my Spirit-Soul friends that have also commanded It in. Together we have created a flurry of excitement in Universal realms as we have worked to allow our internal experience to balance our outer realities. As a result, Divine creation is pulsing like never before and Ancient portals are steadily opening to manifest properties of Divine Connection that have never been experienced by the human element before.

Not that we have never ever ascended before; o-o-o-o-hh we have that knowledge, we have just not done it in the manner we have mapped out this time around.

Which is why our species is living in disordered times that can be complicated, distracting and demanding. Tasks always feel awkward when done for the first time. Remember your first attempt at riding a bike, or driving a stick shift car? And when you have an emotional investment that highlights the event you can become quite discombobulated about the whole thing. Remember your first sexual encounter? It’s the same now, you just might not be aware that your Soul has quite an investment in getting the allotted Ascension taken care of in a heavenly manner and as graciously as possible.

In order to be an appropriate channel, a connector link, a precise Infusion of Light you must consciously awaken to many qualities of the Eternal Nature that have not been recognized before. As propellant particles of human anatomy that are desiring to evolve beyond our current density we are allowing energy to move through and with us in great depth for internal/external transition.

The reward will speak for itself as Life with Spirit will fuse easily and quickly in the Earth plane and for that I am grateful. I sincerely and willingly integrate the crazy energetic surges and physical adjustments as we collectively agree to have Spirit as our first skin and earth as our secondary. No longer an earth-dense production but a system of molecular content with Divine planning flowing through uninhibited.

Thus, when we count our blessings this week, seek to keep company with that Divine Essence that sees the Divine at all times and in everything. Recognize that everything in your life is here to uplift your consciousness …. everything!

In that truth you align with mastery of your I AM Presence.

Auspiciously celebrating the escalation of human evolution, Angela

Israeli PM Netanyahu suddenly seems vulnerable

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who appeared to be cruising to re-election a few weeks ago, suddenly appears vulnerable as the country prepares to go to the polls in January.

The political comeback of a popular former foreign minister on Tuesday, coupled with the ruling Likud Party's selection of an especially hard-line slate of candidates, has suddenly raised questions about Netanyahu's prospects. Eager to portray Netanyahu as an extremist, opposition parties see an opportunity to mount a formidable challenge to the Israeli leader.

Ousting Netanyahu remains a formidable task, but the return ofTzipi Livni, who served as Israel's foreign minister and chief peace negotiator from 2006 to 2009, injected a high-profile name into what had been a lackluster race. Well respected internationally, Livni immediately took aim at what she called a "leadership vacuum" and promised an aggressive push for peace with the Palestinians.

"I came to fight for peace," she said. "And I won't allow anyone to turn peace into a bad word."

During Netanyahu's nearly four years in office, peace efforts with the Palestinians have remained frozen.

The Palestinians refuse to resume talks unless Israel stops building settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, occupied areas that the Palestinians claim for an independent state.

Netanyahu blames the Palestinians for the deadlock. The prime minister imposed a partial freeze on settlement construction early in his term, leading to a brief attempt to resume negotiations. But Netanyahu refused to extend the construction slowdown, and the talks quickly collapsed. He says talks should resume without any preconditions.

The deadlock has pushed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to head to the United Nations this week to upgrade the Palestinian observer mission to "nonmember state" status. The General Assembly is expected to pass the request.

The Palestinians believe the international endorsement, while largely symbolic, will bolster their position if negotiations resume. Israel, backed by the United States, opposes the bid and has been furiously lobbying allies to oppose it, saying all differences must be resolved through negotiations. In a setback for Netanyahu, France announced Tuesday that it would vote in favor of the Palestinians.

At a time when there are no talks with the Western-backed government of Abbas, Israel this week opened an indirect dialogue with Abbas' rival, the Islamic militant Hamas movement, as part of a cease-fire that ended an Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip last week. Israel considers Hamas, which seized control of Gaza five years ago, a terrorist group.

"Everything is upside down: a government that negotiates with terrorists and freezes all dialogue with those who work to prevent attacks," Livni said.

Livni told the audience that the fighting in Gaza, in which her youngest son was mobilized to Israel's southern front, had factored into her decision to return to politics.

"A week ago when my youngest son, today an officer in the Paratroopers, went down south, I sent him a text message that I had decided to fight on my turf, politics, so that he maybe won't have to fight on his turf, the battlefield," she said.

Throughout his term, Netanyahu relied on a handful of moderate figures in his Cabinet to blunt international opposition. Following a pair of events this week, Netanyahu appears to have lost this political cover.

On Monday, Defense Minister Ehud Barak resigned from politics. Barak, a former prime minister, had often served as Netanyahu's unofficial envoy to Washington to ease tensions with the White House.

Then Monday night, Netanyahu's Likud Party announced its slate of candidates for the Jan. 22 election.

The list was dominated by hard-line supporters of West Bank settlements. Some candidates have alienated mainstream Israelis with failed attempts in parliament to stifle dissent and rein in a Supreme Court that they believe is too independent. In addition, several prominent moderates were effectively ousted. Netanyahu's decision to join forces with the ultranationalist party headed by his foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman, has added to concerns that his next coalition will be too hard line for many.

Menachem Hofnung, a Hebrew University political scientist, said the Likud could have a hard time appealing to centrist voters with its new list. "After seeing the Likud's results, the race is (wide) open," he said.

Livni, 54, joins a field that includes the centrist Labor Party, led by former journalist Shelly Yachimovich, and the centrist "Yesh Atid," led by former anchorman Yair Lapid.

While largely similar in ideology, these rival parties have focused largely on domestic economic issues. Livni made clear her new party, called "The Movement," would focus on resuming peace efforts.

"I decided to give an answer to people who don't have anyone to vote for," Livni said. "This party will return this hope that was lost."

It won't be an easy task. Recent polls have predicted Likud would be the largest party in the 120-seat parliament and in a strong position to cobble together a majority coalition. The centrist parties remain divided, and their leaders have been reluctant to join forces.

A survey published Tuesday predicted that Livni's new party would garner just nine seats, Labor would win 20 and Lapid's Yesh Atid would get only five. That would leave the centrist bloc far short of the 61 seats needed to form a coalition.

In contrast, Netanyahu's Likud would win 37 seats, making it by far the largest single party in parliament, with hard-line nationalist and religious parties giving it a majority.

The poll by the Maagar Mochot agency surveyed 504 people on Sunday and Monday and had a margin of error of 4.5 percentage points. However, the poll was conducted before Livni's comeback and Likud primary results were announced, so the numbers are expected to change.

Livni herself is the daughter of one of Likud's founding fathers and entered politics in 1999 as a Likud lawmaker.

But like many other former hard-liners, she has moved over to Israel's dovish left to confront what many believe to be a demographic time bomb. If Israel continues to control millions of Palestinians, they say, it will cease to exist as a democracy with a Jewish majority. The solution, they say, is establishing an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel.

As foreign minister, Livni forged a strong relationship with her American counterpart, Condoleezza Rice, as well as the Palestinians. The sides claimed to have made great progress.

Although her legacy was tarnished by criticism over an Israeli military offensive in Gaza in 2009 that left hundreds of civilians dead, she nonetheless remains popular internationally. She has been identified by Time, Newsweek and Forbes magazines as one of the world's most influential women.

But she has stumbled as a politician. Livni led centrist Kadima Party in 2009 elections after then-Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was forced to resign because of a corruption scandal.

While Kadima won the most parliamentary seats in that election, Livni was unable to form a coalition and confined to the opposition. Early this year, she was ousted as party leader and left politics. Kadima has steadily lost support since then, and recent polls have forecast Kadima may not win even a single seat in parliament.
