A former UBS and Citigroup yen derivatives trader, Tom Hayes, has been sentenced to 14 years in jail after becoming the first person to be convicted by a jury of rigging the Libor interest rate.
In a landmark case, 35year old Hayes was convicted of eight counts of conspiracy to defraud.

Deutsche Bank headquarters raided by police in tax fraud probe

German prosecutors raided Deutsche Bank AG’s Frankfurt headquarters Tuesday morning in connection with a criminal tax-fraud probe, according to officials and other people familiar with the matter.
The raid came two days after the bank said its co-chief executives would resign but the timing appeared to be unrelated to the management change, people familiar with the situation said.
A Deutsche Bank spokesman said prosecutors hadn’t brought forward any allegations against the bank’s current staff in relation to Tuesday’s events and declined to comment further. Another person familiar with the investigation said some current or former Deutsche Bank staff were drawing prosecutors’ interest.
According to people familiar with the matter, government officials remained throughout the morning at Deutsche Bank’s Frankfurt offices collecting documents and other information in connection with a broad probe into what was described as serious tax fraud involving a number of firms and individuals.

German banking giant Deutsche Bank will pay a record $2.5 billion for rigging interest rates in a multi-bank conspiracy that undermined global financial markets, US and British authorities said Thursday.
“Deutsche Bank secretly conspired with its competitors to rig the benchmark interest rates at the heart of the global financial system,” said US Assistant Attorney General Bill Baer of the Justice Department’s antitrust division.
“Deutsche Bank’s misconduct not only harmed its unsuspecting counterparties, it undermined the integrity and the competitiveness of financial markets everywhere.”
Germany’s biggest bank agreed to pay the record fine for manipulating the London InterBank Offered Rate, used to peg millions of interest rate-sensitive contracts and loans around the world, to boost its trading positions.

Fed Vice Chair says bankers should be punished for financial crimes

Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Stanley Fischer said bankers who have engaged in wrongdoing should be punished, and he chided the industry for pushing back against financial regulations adopted to prevent another conflagration.
“Individuals should be punished for any misconduct they personally engaged in,” Fischer said in a speech to bankers Monday in Toronto. While massive fines are being imposed on banks, “one does not see the individuals who were responsible for some of the worst aspects of bank behavior, for example in the Libor and foreign-exchange scandals, being punished severely.”
Some of the world’s biggest banks, including Citigroup Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Barclays Plc, have agreed to pay more than $10 billion to U.S., U.K. and Swiss authorities to settle probes into rigging of foreign-exchange rates.

Thank you for all your incredible work! It is glorious that these changes are finally happening; however I have a great concern and a question about your last newsletter. My concern is for those of us that have been in O and other PPPs and that we will not receive the our funds before Oct. This concerns me due to the economic collapse predictions for the United States and those related to the GCR. How would it be fair that many of us holding this vision for the longest don’t get our funds in time to not have to suffer through the possible currency collapse instead of being able to be part of the solution?
THAT IS SOMETHING I CAN NOT ANSWER. I CAN ONLY REPORT WHAT THE CURRENT INTELLIGENCE IS OUT THERE. EVERYBODY IS PREDICTING THE STOCK MARKET CRASH IN THE USA. I have noticed that you are pushing the forgiveness agenda in your posts.
Forgiveness is a two way street – when/if the CABAL asks for forgiveness then we are able to forgive them otherwise we are just falling into the same old trap again of constant abuse.
WE CAN FORGIVE, BUT NEVER FORGET. IF YOU HARBOR ILL WILL, THEN YOU ARE NO BETTER THAN THEM. FORGIVENESS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE FORGIVEE IS OFF THE HOOK. FAR FROM. ACTIONS ARE ACCOUNTABLE, AND MUST BE ADDRESSED. BUT WITHOUT THE PITCHFORK OF THE FORGIVER.
They must desist from committing any more atrocities and feel genuine remorse then and only then will forgiveness work for both parties.
There must be an exchange of energies from BOTH sides.
