This is a video by Joshua and as said by kauilapele, it's a powerful video.

Hi Luis,
I listened to this video last night,it is great. Most people don't think our youth know what is going on. There are a lot of kids that are much wiser of the events of the day then do the older television group. People listen to the boob tube, think and believe that our government would not lie to them. If you explain to them about Occupy is all about. They look at you like you have 2 heads. The thing is, people believe what they want to. They don't want to get involved. It is just a bunch of kids that don't know what they are doing, it is a fad, it will go away.
Are they in for a rude awakening!!!!!!!!!
Myrna

How right you are, Myrna. It's the same in my country and I guess everywhere. I am beginning to loose whatever hope I had for people to listen to what I try to tell them. It's so frustrating at times.

At any rate, you make me feel less dispirited. Thanks for showing up and commenting.

Miguel

SaLuSa 12-December-2011.

The waiting has been long and a measure of your faith and ability to focus on all that is of the Light, because there have been many distractions including those sources that have set out to confuse people. However, you have become much wiser and able to discern what is truly of the Light. There are in any event different interpretations of events that are lined up to carry you forward to Ascension. The important thing is that you see whatever happens the ultimate goal is Ascension, and how you get there is not an issue that should lead to dissension amongst you. It is certainly in your interest to make allowances for the differences, as at any time the plans and timing can be adjusted. This you know only too well, but understand that changes are sometimes necessary to fine tune our activities. As the dark Ones are being forced to retreat, they leave a trail of failed attempts to cause disarray. We are determined to block all such attempts, and now have the divine authorization to use more forceful means to do so. Nevertheless, we do take care so as not to involve innocent people.

As you might imagine, after you have entered the year 2012 there will be much speculation and sometimes adverse comment about what it will bring. The Mayan prophesies will be used according to the beliefs of the person involved, and as you know many will interpret the end time as the end of the world. The last thing we want to see is that idea energized so that it establishes a fear factor amongst you. It may suit some because they already believe in the end as a punishment from God for the evil upon the Earth. However, we want to emphasize that there will not be mass destruction and loss of life on a great scale. That is not the plan, and since God is All Love it is clear that God would never withdraw that Divine Love in any circumstances. You are all Godsparks and whatever happens you will always remain immortal.

With the end times will come a “sorting out” as souls are directed to a path that is going to allow them to continue evolving, at the vibrational level that they are already on. There would be no purpose or gain, if souls were placed in a dimension where they were not compatible to it according to their level of consciousness. So do not worry about other souls, and bear in mind that all will eventually find the path that will not compromise their freewill. You knew before you incarnated what the outcome would be and that is what you have been working towards, so no one will be disappointed. We realize that many would like to continue earthly bonds and relationships and although the love link will remain, allowances must be made that gives each soul total freedom of choice. Humans put far too much emphasis upon the marriage vows, that are interpreted in a way that some desire to own or posses another Being.

People are brought together so that their relationships give rise to the experiences that will benefit them all, and from one lifetime to another they will of necessity change. So Dear Ones, try to be grateful to all souls who have travelled with you through duality, and know that you have all learnt from your experiences. Also bear in mind that to some degree you will all have played a part as a dark One. All told none will find that they have been holier than another, which is why you could be said to be on dangerous ground when you judge another soul. Ultimately, all souls will find their Light and Love and that there is no karmic liability left over from earlier lives. At some stage even the memories will be erased, when they no longer serve any useful purpose. Remember that you wanted to experience duality, and pit yourself against the lower vibrations that it was foreseen you would drop into. Having completed your time, there is no further need to dwell upon those experiences, because you will have proved your ability to overcome them.

Your real home is in the higher dimensions living in complete harmony, and leading a joyful and fulfilling life. The illusion of lower dimensions is your creation, and having served its purpose will disappear by being re-absorbed in the unmanifest once again. Ascension is a process of Universal proportions, and it will occur as a single event. Without the Earth’s ascension the process would not be complete, and it tells you how important your civilization is at his time. Do you now see why you are being given so much help, and why you were chosen to be on Earth at this time. You are the Chosen Ones who it was known would achieve success, and as much as it is difficult to accept – the dark Ones are also part of it.

In your reality you have been living the illusion yet the experiences have been perfectly real, and when the curtain comes down and it ends, you will all acknowledge each others part in it and move on. So Disclosure remains an essential part of the means to bring us all together, and express the illusion in a way that you can understand. It will allow you to see how vulnerable you have been to the lower energies. How the dark Ones have stolen your freedom from under your noses, and how they achieved it. These revelations will be necessary to release you from those energies for once and for all time.

Already many of you are living your lives on a higher vibration, and you can safely walk through the minefield of duality unscathed. You have broken the attachments that you have collected through many lives, that no longer serve any purpose for you. Willpower is of course required to step up into a new vibration as we have often informed you, and once that intent is expressed you will get plenty of help. Part of our mission is to ensure that as many souls as possible lift up through Ascension. Revealing the truth about your experiences is part of the cure for your loss of memory about your true self. Be humble and accept that as intelligent that you may be, you have been fooled just like everyone else. The dark Ones have been clever and extremely devious, and patiently worked at taking over you and your world. However, they reckoned without our influence and that of the Masters who have visited Earth, and planted those seeds of Light that have opened your eyes.

I am SaLuSa from Sirius, and a part of the Galactic Federation mission is almost complete, but our service to you is never ending. We love you, and have such admiration for the way in which you have arisen again.

Thank you SaLuSa,

Mike Quinsey.

City Of Cleveland Announces Support For Occupy Wall Street

Last week, the Cleveland city council held an emergency meeting to determine its stance on Occupy Cleveland as well as the Occupy movement at large.

Resolution 1720-11 was approved by the City Council will a vote of 18 yeas and only 1 nay. With a population of 2,250,000 people, Cleveland joins other large cities like Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago in public support of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Excerpts of the Cleveland Resolution, which was sent to President Barack Obama and all members of the U.S. Congress, are reprinted below:

WHEREAS, Cleveland community members, like others across the United States, are frustrated by the continuing economic crisis that threatens individual, family, small local business and City finances, and our community’s quality of life, and are participating in Occupy protests to make their voices heard; and

WHEREAS, the economic roots of these protests are varied, including sustained unemployment, growing income disparity, banking system failures, stalled earning power, and unjust tax systems, that all contribute to ongoing wealth disparities; and

WHEREAS, the political roots of these protests are also varied, including the growing political power of corporations, influence of money on elections and public policy and inability of average citizens to have their voices heard and needs met through formal political forums, thus contributing to citizens pursuing alternative political arenas; and

WHEREAS, over the past 30 years, gains in our economy have accrued largely to the top1% of Americans, who now control 43% of the total net wealth, and to the next 19% on the top that control 50% of the wealth in the United States (top 20% controls 93% of wealth with the bottom 80% controlling only 7%) due in part to public policies that can be changed…

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLEVELAND:

Section 1. That this Council recognizes and supports the principles of the Occupy Movement and the peaceful and lawful exercise of the First Amendment as a cherished and fundamental right in the effort to seek solutions for economically distressed Americans at the federal, state and local levels.

Section 2. That this Council commits to working with the Jackson administration to continue taking steps to minimize economic insecurity and destructive disparities in the City of Cleveland.

Section 3.
That this Council requests our Congressional leaders generate solutions for economically distressed Americans.

Section 4.
That the Clerk of Council is directed to transmit copies of this resolution to President Barack Obama and all members of the U.S. Congress.

Section 5.
That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.

I applaud the City of Cleveland and its City Council members for fulfilling their duty to protect and serve the rights of its constituents. May they just be one of many that will come forward to take such a stand in the face of political and economic corruption.

OWS Protesters Block Access To Pacific Coast Ports

In a direct action targeting the pocketbooks of some of the most profitable corporations in the world, Occupy Wall Street protesters blocked access to several shipping ports along the West Coast on Monday.

“The ports of the West Coast are a huge source of profits for these modern day robber barons, who have closed our factories and outsourced our jobs, who poison our oceans and rivers, who exploit our brothers and sisters in their insatiable quest for profit, reads the OccupyThePorts.com website.

“In solidarity with the Longshore Workers and truck drivers and their struggles against companies like Goldman Sachs and EGT, we call on the people of the 99% to join us in this historic day of action. From San Diego to Los Angeles to Portland to Anchorage, we will show the economic overlords and financial vultures the true scope of our combined power.”

Port of Oakland: SeattlePI.com reports that several hundred people picketed at the port before dawn and blocked some trucks from going through at least two entrances. A long line of big rigs sat outside one of the entrances, unable to drive into the port.

Port of Long Beach: The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) arrived at the scene about an hour after the protest began. Police have declared the protest unlawful assembly and are ordering protesters to stop blocking the road and move back to Harry Bridges Park. Should protesters fail to disperse, they will be arrested under section 409, which is the same charge used against Occupy L.A. arrestees during the November 30 raid. Riot gear police are also on the scene. Occupy L.A. tweeted this morning, “LBPD threatening tear gas, rubber bullets and dog bites.”

Port of Vancouver, Canada: The action got started early in Vancouver, as a dozen protesters briefly blocked two port entrances during morning rush hour. A blockade spokeswoman who identified herself as Mya Mayhem said the two brief blockades were in no way sanctioned by the Occupy movement, but that protesters wanted to educate Vancouver’s longshoremen about their counterparts’ ongoing labour struggles south of the border.

Port of Portland, Oregon: Hundreds Occupy Portland protesters effectively shut down two of the Port of Portland’s busiest terminals, preventing about 200 longshore workers from going to work today. The demonstrations began about 6 a.m. and have been largely peaceful so far.

Port of Los Angeles: Hampered by driving rains and dozens of police officers in riot gear, the action at the Port of Los Angeles didn’t last long, and was peaceful.

Here’s a video update from the Associated Press:

This Eye Care Center in India is making history

India Eye Care Center Finds Middle Way To Capitalism

At an Aravind hospital in Madurai, a city on India's southern tip, the waiting room is packed. A clinical assistant calls out the names of patients, and they're escorted to examination rooms. This hospital alone screens around 2,000 patients a day — and tour guide Shawas Philip says this day is busier than usual.

"We might break that record today — of the number of patients that are seen on a particular day. That's exciting," he says.

Aravind is used to breaking records. But it began modestly in 1976 with an 11-bed hospital. Aravind Eye Care System now has 4,000 beds in seven hospitals, most in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was late founder Dr. G. Venkataswamy's goal to eliminate needless blindness.

About 45 million people in the world are blind. About 80 percent of them could be cured through surgery.

Dr. "V," as he is known, founded the organization on a deep belief in the spirituality of service. But Aravind embraces its mission by pursuing efficiency the way Goldman Sachs pursues profits. That's obvious in the operating theater.

Productive Surgeons

Dr. Hari Priya, scalpel in hand, looks through a surgical microscope into the eye of a cataract patient.

"This is called a phacoemulsification procedure," she says. "This is considered the gold standard in cataract surgery across the world."

Priya sits between two operating tables. When she finishes one patient, usually in less than 10 minutes, she turns to the next table, where the patient is draped and ready. This way, there is no time wasted between surgeries. Priya says she performs 30 to 40 surgeries a day.

Aravind Eye Care System conducts 300,000 sight-restoring eye surgeries a year — and about half of them are free.

R.D. Thulasiraj, a top Aravind official, says that early on the organization embraced the simple idea that if it wanted to have a real impact in reducing blindness, its surgeons needed to work as efficiently as possible.

"We want to make sure they're not idle because we didn't get our act together," he says. "They're not waiting for a patient, they're not waiting for a staff — they're not waiting for a lens."

That attention to process has made Aravind surgeons quite possibly the most productive in the world. In total, the number of sight-restoring eye surgeries that Aravind Eye Care System conducts each year is 300,000 — and about half, or nearly half, are free.

"Compared to India, we're probably four or five times as productive as an average surgeon," Thulasiraj says. "If you compare to the U.S. or many parts of Africa or Latin America, it could be a factor of 10 to 15 times more productive."

Aravind's surgeons average about 2,000 operations a year. The average for eye surgeons in the U.S. is 125.

Free Surgeries

The push for more efficiency forces down the average cost of a surgery for Aravind. But that doesn't mean quality is sacrificed. Aravind surgeons have just half the number of complications that the British health system has for the same procedure. That high quality allows Aravind to attract patients who are willing to pay market rates. Then it takes the large profit made on those surgeries to fund free and subsidized surgeries for poor people — like K. Karuthagangachi.

Karuthagangachi, 49, lives in the village of Alanganallur, about 15 miles from Madurai. One of Aravind's 36 small satellite eye care centers is located just a few steps off the village's bustling main street.

A woman receives an eye exam at one of Aravind's 36 small satellite eye care centers, in the village of Alanganallur, about 15 miles from Madurai.

Karuthagangachi wears her salt-and-pepper hair pulled back and has an easy smile. She says when she developed cataracts, she lost sight and her job as a document writer filling out forms like birth certificates and license applications. She had no income, she's unmarried, and had to depend on friends to support her. The cataracts clouded her vision so much that she couldn't recognize people. She lost her confidence and mostly stayed at home.

After two years, her friends finally convinced her to visit this eye center, which confirmed she needed cataract surgery. She had no money to pay, so Aravind did surgery on both of her eyes for free. It was a total success. She says "it was like seeing a new world," and she was very happy. She also got back her job as a document writer.

Dr. Aravind Srinivasan, the director of projects at the organization, says it's only possible to provide free surgeries on the scale that Aravind does by running an operating surplus, like a profit-making company. That's what Aravind manages to do, even though it's legally a charitable trust.

"I think traditional charities start with a lot of goodness in their heart," he says. "They're emotionally connected. That connection we had. But it was always superimposed with business acumen."

Overcoming A Lens Shortage

Fifteen years after it was founded, Aravind's ability to provide free and subsidized surgeries was being limited by the high cost and availability of the intraocular lenses needed for cataract surgery. That's not a problem most charitable organizations could overcome, Srinivasan says.

"How do you expect a charitable organization, which is providing eyesight, to say, 'I'll go and manufacture lenses.' You don't think that way. You kind of look at it as a bottleneck or a wall, and keep complaining about it," he says.

But Aravind attacked the problem with the help of an American social entrepreneur named David Green. Green had been helping Aravind collect donated lenses to be implanted in their cataract patients. But donations were averaging only about 25,000 a year. That wasn't nearly enough to meet Aravind's needs, and the lenses cost several hundred dollars to buy. So Green helped Aravind set up its own lens manufacturer on-site, a subsidiary named Aurolab.

"Now today Aurolab sells, I think this year it will be 1.8 million lenses," he says. "So you can see that when you have a business model, an economic model, it enables something to scale because it's not dependent upon charity, which is fickle."

And even more remarkable: By squeezing out profits made by middlemen in the production and distribution chain, Aurolab is now providing some lenses at the astoundingly low price of just $2.

With cheap lenses available, the number of cataract surgeries at Aravind shot up dramatically.

Green says the main thing he has learned doing this work is that there's a middle way to capitalism.

"You can find a pathway, as Aravind has, to see how you can use your profit and production capacity to serve others," he says. "And I think that service to others is really the foundation of what Aravind does."

That's the culture that was started by Aravind's founder Dr. Venkataswamy — and it continues to pervade the organization today.
