Dear Marisol,

Prayers for grace go up for you at a time like this.

He has gone to a better place, you will no doubt miss his physical presence, but we know he is in life eternal now and rejoice for his sake.

Amen to this .....

And I declared that the dead, who had already died, are happier than the living, who are still alive. (Ecclesiastes 4:2).

Grace n Peace to you my friend.

Marisol,

Let me express my condolences to you on the " home-going " of your dad here on earth. Those scriptures that you sighted ( i.e. John 5: 24 ) are a " great comfort " to the believer in Jesus Christ. We sorrow when God calls our love ones " home " but the scriptures tell us " .... we don't sorrow as others who have no hope .... ". We know there is going to be a reunion someday with all those " in Christ" who have went before us. We think of " countless " loved ones who have already died without them knowing Christ as their savior. That he ( Christ) died on the cross for " them " so they can have " the perfect peace that passeth all understanding". ( John 3: 16 ) To think that the " only " way they can miss out on God's " perfect peace " is to " reject " the savior is extremely sorrowful! Thank God we have the " plan of salvation " ( I Cor 15: 3,4) that we hold so dearly and that we have scripture like ( Rev 3:20 ) which states that if we just " open the door " ( our hearts) he ( Christ ) will " come in ". Based on the scriptures you shared, your dad " opened the door " and now he is in a place that is " totally unimaginable " and if you ask him, he would not trade his place now for anthing in this world! Is it hard when our loved ones go ahead of us? Yes it is. Is there a " hope " that we know of a future reunion with our loved ones ? Unequivocally,YES! This hope is found in a savior who loves us so much " he ( Christ ) is not willing that we perish, but have everlasting life ". The life your dad has now! Have a blessed Easter!
