This explains a lot.
I remember (fairly) my days of commercial fishing when I was a Captain running
fishing vessels from 40 to 70 foot in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.
At the time, there was nothing more enjoyment then starting the day with the sun rising over the water (and that is a site), a fresh cup of coffee, and a good smoke.
Then we pulled the anchor, and went fishing, all day. What a life for ten years as it had so many adventures, one time sightings, amazing fish stories, and captured some of the most highs that will be remembered for life.
This would have been my favorite cup of coffee back in time.

Our National Debt…

They are ignoring it. We are pushing to reduce spending, cut departments and getting our fiscal house in order. They are part of the Liberal Media. AMAC publishes a national magazine that prints both sides of an argument in a fair and balanced way. If you want an organization that will speak out for the values you believe in, Join AMAC today!

Special Urgent Appeal to Every American Over 50:

Join today and spread the word. Conservative Americans need to Join Forces by joining Amac. We need to neutralize the effects of liberal power brokers – like the AARP.

More and more Americans are realizing the NEED for an organization like the AARP – but one that represents the Real America and stands for traditional values, fiscal responsibility and true financial security for those who have earned it.

AMAC is now THE leading conservative alternative to the AARP, providing insurance benefits (including Medicare Supplement, Major Medical), travel discounts and A VOICE THAT TRULY SPEAKS FOR YOU. Amac membership has recently exploded with a ground swell of grassroots support – from 30,000 members to over 575,000 members.

More and more Americans are realizing that the AARP does not represent their values – while AMAC does.

Once upon a time, government was a far away thing that people were largely unaware of except when wars were being fought or infrastructure, like railroads or highways, were coming to their area. People knew they had to be self reliant because there were no agencies to turn to, no federal or state assistance to care for them when they had families to feed, and charities were comprised of locals who wanted to help people out of the goodness of their hearts, if they existed in an area at all. In that time, people lived, as they do today, according to Gods law or contrary to it. But they usually suffered the harsh consequences of their misdeeds and we didn’t apologize for it. Today, anything goes.

In 1902, the federal governments revenue accounted for 2.71% of the Gross Domestic Product. Include state and local taxes and the total burden then was about 7%. Today, that total is over 35%. Before the permanent income tax was imposed in 1913 the government got most of their tax dollars from real estate and other property taxes. Today it is derived primarily from income taxes. With steadily high unemployment and so many of those who are employed working for the government, whose only income is gained from taxing people, the math isn’t hard to do. Government, bureaucracies, and pension liabilities continue to grow at an alarming rate, and big brother is in your life to stay.
