Hello Peter,
I saw that you pulled this into your thread and I failed to comment here yesterday. It is my belief that inquiries were made and the tone suggested that the jackboots would be used and you will be destroyed publicly as a means to quell this story. This seems to be a repeat of what happened when we left the gold standard and the government confiscated our gold and silver. Could this be the pre-cursor to the food standard because if the things keep going the way they are we will be wealthy if we do have food stores because it is quite obvious the world's governments have no clue how to handle or manage their money or stockpiles. Just a thought..

Here's an interesting turn of events. It appears that there was never a raid on the Mormon food storage facility. The site that originally posted the incident on its website removed it after the source from the food storage facility said it never happened.

It's a shame that these websites don't check their sources before posting information. Another possibility is that the original source was intimidated and retracted his story under duress. I guess we'll never know but for now the incident never happened. BUT, there is more to the story as you'll see below. Still some scary stuff if you ask me.

Below is an article from the Blaze that investigated the story and more.

Shalom,

Peter

Did Federal Agents Really Raid a Mormon Food Storage Facility?

We are in an especially tense time for civil liberties as the NDAA ‘indefinite detention’ bill makes its way through Congress, so when a story went viral over the weekend of Feds raiding a Latter Day Saints food storage facility in Tennessee and demanding customer lists, alarm bells went off and some folks got riled up.

But now it looks like this raid on LDS food storage never occurred.

The news desk at the Blaze was skeptical of the raid story from the outset. It was single-sourced to the organization called “Oath Keepers,” who are “active servicemen devoted to upholding their oath of guarding the republic and protecting individual liberty.”

Oath Keepers did not initially name any sources and there was no corroboration from local news outlets of their post on the alleged food raid.

The Blaze received dozens of tips and requests, however, for more information on this story. We had direct contact with at least one prominent LDS church official, and a number of sources who indicated that they had heard nothing about this story through their channels.

As of late Monday, Oath Keepers had pulled the food storage raid story from their website, and gave an explanation that stated:

“We have pulled this story about the Mormon cannery being visited by federal agents because the source of the information at the cannery is now denying that he ever told us that event occurred.”

So the Feds didn’t kick down doors and confiscate lists of private citizens who want to prepare themselves with stored food in the event of an emergency such as a power outage or flood. This is good news, to be sure.

But the full context to the story does not seem to end there. It turns out authorities have been poking around and asking Tennesseans about their emergency preparations, even going door-to-door with questionnaires.

Local Nashville news broadcasters at WTVF-TV reported on house-by-house Metro Public Health department efforts to check on citizens’ emergency preparedness, including the off-putting line that ”The county still wants to know exactly what you are doing to start thinking ahead:”

To watch the viddeo go here.

In addition, a terrorism watch precursor pamphlet from the “Bureau of Justice Assistance” has been circulating the internet that targets completely legal, commonplace behaviors for many conservatives who want to be ready for an emergency. The bulletin lists sweeping generalizations about who might be a terrorist, and many of the indicators revolve around food storage and emergency preparedness.

The Blaze called one of the phone numbers listed on the flyer, and it is in fact a direct line to a joint terrorism analysis fusion center in Colorado. When asked for an official comment on the distribution of the flyer, a fusion center officer declined to comment and stated that any request would have to be made in writing.

The list of concerning activities includes this list below, which notably suggests possessions of waterproof match and meals ready-to-eat (MREs) could be cause for concern:

Store owners are encouraged to call authorities if any of these activities occur and raise their suspicions.

While Congress decides whether under the NDAA U.S. Citizens can be sent to military prison without the benefit of a trial based only on suspicion, further government attempts to compile lists of private emergency preparations and campaigns that single out self-sufficient citizens under the guise of counter-terrorism guidelines could heighten distrust of federal authorities.

But at least they haven’t raided any LDS food storage facilities. Not yet.

Hi Jim and Amanda,

I will make a short reply. Amanda, I see that you quoted my reply to you in my thread and I guess you skimmed through it cos it refers to reporting news as opposed to reporting commentary as news, creating news or calling commentaries on previous commentaries news. The article Jim posted was hard news and even if Jones was the source it's legitimate to use it even if you're not a Jones groupie.

Shalom,

Peter

Hello Jim,

Yes I watched and heard this report given by the reporter speaking on behalf of Oath Keepers on Prison Planet TV the other day.

Now, don't get mad with me - but I am confused..here you are using information from Alex Jones and Mike Adams, Natural News whom reports often for Alex, and the other day you said...

Quote:
Not sure I would bet my bottom dollar on Alex Jones' reporting. Peter and I covered this years ago.
Then Peter backed you up with:
Quote:
You stated in one of your posts that Alex Jones is one of your favorite alternate news sources and for me he's the exact opposite. I've given my reasons in the past as Jim mentioned and also to you in the recent past.

This head line is one of the reasons he's very far from being on my favorite list. From the "sensational" headline you understand that it's happening now and that's not true is it? I read the article and it's a rehash of things he's written over the years and preached on in his many videos. You'll find that what he has in common with MSM is his reporting on his own commentary as facts rather then reporting news. Had he simply reported on the email alone that he got through anonymous sources that would be news (not very exciting or interesting news but still news) but the rehash of old stuff as if it's all new is a typical Alex Jones tactic.
- regarding my share article on the FEMA camps.

I reckon I am done with both of your forums and I will see you on the Jokes and on other members threads that we participate on because lately everytime I bring a share to your attention you have been down on me. I have nothing else to contribute when these disagreements occur and I would sooner leave in friendship than keep bickering because my eyes are opened and I understand how the Global Elite works and confirmation comes with the many guest that Alex Jones has on his daily reports.

Federal agents raid Mormon food storage facility, demand list of customers storing emergency food

(NaturalNews) As was the plan all along, the so-called "War on Terror" has officially devolved into a war on the American people (http://www.naturalnews.com/034321_w...).

This was clearly illustrated by the recent traitorous passage of the egregious National Defense Authorization Act by the US Congress (http://www.naturalnews.com/034302_i...). But in order to fully implement the ultimate goal of total control and tyranny, the federal government is now actively collecting the names of individuals that are preparing for the future by buying and storing emergency food supplies.

Oath Keepers, an association of active servicemen devoted to upholding their oath of guarding the republic and protecting individual liberty, has reported that federal agents recently paid a visit to a Latter Day Saints food storage cannery in Tennessee. Though they had no reason to be there, these agents allegedly interrogated the facility's manager and demanded to see a list of customers that had purchased, and were storing, food there.

Oath Keepers Tennessee Chapter President Rand Cardwell confirmed the incident, according to reports, as he is in close contact with a fellow veteran who happens to store his own food at the facility in question. According to the man's account, agents entered the facility and began demanding payment records and personal information for everyone connected with the operation.

"The manager informed the agents that the facility kept no such records and that all transactions were conducted on a cash-and-carry basis," Cardwell is quoted as saying, concerning the incident. "The agents pressed for any record of personal checks, credit card transactions, etc., but the manager could provide no such record. The agents appeared to become very agitated and after several minutes of questioning finally left with no information."

This unprovoked act of intimidation is highly concerning, but it is also somewhat contradictory. On the one hand, the federal government has been instilling fear into the American public for years, and has even made announcements urging the public to be prepared. But on the other hand, this same government is now pursuing those who are heeding these precautions as if they are terrorists.

Oath Keepers suggests the government might be trying to gather intelligence on food-storing Americans in order to later come and confiscate that food, or worse -- after all, freedom-loving patriots who are preparing for social upheaval are a threat to the power structure that seeks to tighten the noose of tyranny around the neck of society.

Here is an update to the previous story. Questioning folks on their preparedness by government representatives is the real story here not whether th jackboots busted in. The simple fact the request was made is ominous. IMHO

Update: News channel 5 confirms door-to-door questioning of food supplies in Tennessee while canneries downplay initial reports Sunday, December 11, 2011
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
Editor of NaturalNews.com (See all articles...)

(NaturalNews) Citizens in Tennessee are being asked by government workers to divulge details about their preparedness plans in a door-to-door "assessment" program reported by Janet Kim from local news channel 5 (http://www.newschannel5.com/story/1...). During this assessment, government workers ask residents 22 questions about their preparedness status. NaturalNews has confirmed through reliable sources that these include questions about emergency food supplies.

Fortunately, this effort is being done by a Tennessee group of state employees who are widely recognized throughout the preparedness community as being "good guys" who are truly just trying to help people get prepared. They are not interested in confiscation or anything of the kind, according to our sources. It's a local community preparedness support effort.

On another front, three days ago Oath Keepers reported that their chapter president in Tennessee was told by a local cannery federal agents were demanding customer lists (http://www.naturalnews.com/034371_f...). This account quickly went viral across alternative news websites, and the news exploded across the 'net.

The Tennessee cannery that originally relayed that account to Oath Keepers has backed off their account and is now telling customers who call that federal agents never visited their cannery. Oath Keepers has posted an update confirming this (http://oathkeepers.org/oath/2011/12...).

The change in this first-hand account has many people scratching their heads, as this story was confirmed face-to-face by none other than Oath Keepers Tennessee Chapter President Sgt. Rand Cardwell, a USMC veteran (Desert Storm) with a solid reputation. There is virtually no possibility that Sgt. Rand Cardwell invented this story, as he is widely known to be a trustworthy individual who honorably served his country as a U.S. Marine.

A far more likely explanation may be found in the Patriot Act itself, which features a sneak-and-peek with a gag order provision that allows federal agents to conduct searches of any facility and then gag the witnesses from speaking about it for at least one year, after which they may challenge the gag order. The existence of this sneak-and-peek gag order is widely acknowledged and easily verified through common web searches. Even NPR reported on it several years ago: http://www.npr.org/news/specials/pa...

Another possibility is that the original source at the Tennessee cannery may have been instructed to remain silent by higher ups either within their own organization or, theoretically, the Mormon Church with which the cannery is affiliated. This is only speculation, of course. We no longer have access to any further fact-checking because nobody from that cannery is talking. NaturalNews has long admired the preparedness philosophy of the Mormon Church and its members, most of which are far better prepared for an economic collapse than people of any other organized religion.

Who is getting prepared? The smart folks

The bottom line is that government officials are taking a curious interest all of a sudden in the preparedness status of the American people. Whether for innocent reasons or for nefarious purposes, this is a new focus of both state and federal government, and it indicates that somebody up the chain of command is very interested in knowing WHO is preparing and HOW they're getting prepared.

My advice to NaturalNews readers is to connect with a Mormon cannery in your area and help support their operations. Such canneries frequently offer food storage skills and advice, in addition to offering you quality stored goods at affordable prices. Most Mormon-run canneries graciously open their doors to people of any religious denomination, and for that they deserve tremendous credit.

NaturalNews will continue to investigate this story and bring you any important developments. In the mean time, we encourage all our readers, in Tennessee and elsewhere, to get yourself prepared for what's coming. Because there will very likely come a day when the federal government begins to look at stored food, cash, and ammunition as "signs of terrorism." The government already flags people who "pay with cash" as being engaged in suspicious activity -- just try to buy an airplane ticket with cash and see what happens if you don't believe me. Similarly, those who buy quantities of firearms are already being flagged and tracked by the ATF. The federal government runs elaborate infiltration and spying schemes to ensnare raw milk farmers (http://www.naturalnews.com/033428_F...).

For that same government to start asking questions about who has stored food isn't even a stretch. It fits their pattern of spying on their own people even as the government tries to encroach upon more freedoms we all once took for granted.

Stay prepared, folks. The economic tsunami is headed our way, and there's a whole lotta paper currency that may end up being worth no more than the paper it's printed on. For now, I think it's safe to purchase stored food without drawing too much attention to yourself, but you'll probably get a much better value if you buy it locally from regional canneries where you don't have to pay the large shipping costs.

Do I have 5-gallon buckets full of spelt and brown rice? You bet I do. And I got 'em from a Mormon cannery in Idaho.

We can look back over history that 'starvation' was a great means to get people to obey to Tyranny - no one can live long without food or water. Back in these times people planted gardens and stored up for winter and cooked from scratch yet when their chickens, cows, crops etc were destroyed by stealing then remainder burned, destroyed there was nothing left - and often their water was polluted. Billions have died from starvation.

Today there is even less people who plant gardens, can their produce or freeze. Yet I reckon the heinous crimes done is Genetically Modified Organism to the seeds and vegetables on grocery shelves that do not even have to say they are GMO that is becoming harder and harder to obtain 'real untreated seed foods' These seed foods are not nutritious, and they sterilized the 3rd generation lab animals that were used for testing.

There are going to be a lot of people caught because they buy in their 'ready made' meals to either heat in the oven or microwave. There is still a lot of people whom do not even know how to cook from scratch or know how to live off the land

Dammit: Our Presidential Field isn’t “Flawed”— THEIRS is!

Boy, if there’s one thing the Grandees of the Beltway can agree upon, it’s this:

“The Republican field is flawed”.

Michael Medved today, in his breezy “brokered convention” phantasmagoria that graced the pages of The Daily Beast, tossed off the now-requisite line: “…Some members of the party establishment may feel infuriated by the flawed and fractured field…”

It’s becoming a pass-word for all the establishment-types that are slobbering and panting over the prospect of employment in the next Romney administration. Yes, yes… the Republican field is “flawed”. Sometimes it is even “deeply flawed”. In a Washington Post column late last summer, George Will called it a “significantly flawed” field. Good old George, digging up those five-syllable words when a two-syllable word like “deeply” works just fine.

Remember, George also said last spring that, come January of 2013, one of three people would be taking the Presidential oath: Barack Obama, Mitch Daniels or Tim Pawlenty. I think the bow ties might be cutting off the circulation to the ol’ noggin there, George.

This doesn’t even scratch the surface, though, of the absurdity of the claim. The “Republican Field” is a pristine Garden of Eden, with neatly tended rows of seed-leaves, compared with the weed-choked disaster down the road at the ramshackle barns of Obama Acres.

Of course, if the media stares long enough up any candidate’s nostril, eventually you’ll see some boogers. And, that’s what’s going on with the “Republican Field”. You’d have “flaws” too, if people kept staring at you through a magnifying glass.

So, when does this magnifying glass get trained on President Obama? Ever?

No, of course not. And, if one of the candidates were cunning, they’d make THAT an issue: Everybody knows that the Leftist/Media Complex is in the bag for Obama, and he’s not paying a cent for every fawning article, every carbon-copied press release, every phony poll– while the Republican Conservatives have to fight and claw their way over the dead carcasses of failed candidates, would-be candidates, faux scandals (“Ni—-rock”, for example) and hostile interviews… and then shell out their scarce campaign funds to buy advertising in the same venues that are torching them.

The candidate that does this first –that is, make the disgusting, unctuous, slobbering behavior of the leftist media a real issue– will leapfrog to prominence. But, that for another day. Our job, as conservatives, is not to eat our own (“You are Fool if you don’t vote for Perry!”, “Only an Idiot would vote for Bachmann!”, etc..). Rather, our task should be to ruthlessly tear down the facade of the Potemkin Obama the mass culture has worked so hard to erect.

OUR Field is Flawed? You gotta be kidding me.

Come here: Let’s take a look under the magnifying glass, shall we?

EXHIBIT “A”: WE have a Candidate that believes Gardasil Injections cause autism. THEY have a candidate that believes he can see Dead Veterans in the audience at Memorial Day events. Which is kookier? Which is more fringe and disconnected from reality? Our Candidate, or Theirs?

EXHIBIT “B”: WE have a Candidate that’s cheated on his wife, and been married three times. THEY have a candidate who celebrate “Sinco de Quatro”, lights all the Hanukkah candles at once, thinks Austrian is a language, and proposes eliminating the deductibility of charitable donations is a great way to increase philanthropy. Which is more questionable? Which points to a fundamental misunderstanding of human nature? Our Candidate, or Theirs?

EXHIBIT “C”: WE have a candidate that can’t remember the names of agencies he’d eliminate. THEY have a candidate that can’t remember to call in the Foreign-Flagged volunteer skimmers to help with a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Which candidate exhibits a bigger lapse in judgment? Who should we be concerned may lose his memory at crucial times? Our Candidate, or Theirs?

EXHIBIT “D”: WE have a candidate that has zany ideas about Space Mirrors and who has shoved too many donuts down his throat. THEY have a candidate that has stupid AND zany ideas about Windmills replacing coal-fired power plants, and who has shoved iron-fisted, jack-booted authoritarian nationalized health-care down OUR throats. Which candidate is zanier, and which one endangers our health more? Our Candidate, or Theirs?

EXHIBIT “E”: WE have a candidate that makes flippant bets with substantial amounts of his own money. THEY have a candidate that made a bet with $870 Billion dollars of OUR own money in a fraudulent “stimulus” bet, and lost the entire wad. Which candidate is more flippant, more profligate with money? Which one spends like there’s no tomorrow? Our Candidate, or Theirs?

EXHIBIT “F”: WE have a candidate that shuns certain states, and hasn’t even visited others or set up field office for their campaign. THEY have a candidate that, as President, refuses to visit their states after devastating floods or fires or tornadoes because there is no political advantage in doing so. Which candidate shows a more pronounced parochialism, which is more elitist? Our Candidate, or Theirs?

EXHIBIT “G”: WE have a candidate that has no executive experience, and has only six year in the House. THEY have a candidate whose little executive experience has all been horrific, and who spent about eighteen minutes prior as a junior Senator. Whose experience is more thoroughgoing in its positiveness? Our Candidate, or Theirs?

EXHIBIT “H”: WE have a candidate that takes up space on the stage, and barely shows up in the polls. THEY have a candidate that barely shows up at his JOB because he’s played over two solid weeks of golf, taken nearly three months of vacation in three years, and spent nearly two months fund-raising. Which candidate shows more work-ethic and tenacity to get things accomplished? Our Candidate, or Theirs?

In short?

No matter how you dice it, our candidates haven’t referred to our warriors as “Corpse-Men”.

Nor do we have a candidate that refuses to acknowledge that economic activity depends on a robust private sector. We manifestly do not have a candidate that believes in shared sacrifice, while he jets around in an all-expense-paid bubble, eating taxpayer funded wagyu beef– feeling not the slightest inclination to “sacrifice” a thing.

None of our candidates has added over $5 trillion in additional public debt my children and grandchildren will have to pay. I’m not aware that a single candidate on our side has utterly destroyed the housing market, or driven energy prices up while simultaneously driving down energy production.

I don’t think any of our candidates have called Law Enforcement “stupid”, nor do I think any of them has ever sent our valorous armed forces into war without congressional approval.

And finally, I’m pretty certain each one of our candidates has actually created jobs, out there on the campaign trail. Their candidate? He’s made four million jobs disappear.

Now THAT’S a “flawed” presidential field.

May Wisdom and the knowledge you gained go with you,
