Some of you may have this recipe already, as it is quite popular, at least in the midwest. There are slightly different versions available, but this is the one I made for New Year's Eve. It was very good. Hawaiian Bread with Spinach Dip 1 10-16 ounce package frozen chopped spinach (thaw and squeeze out excess water) 1 package dried soup mix 1 cup mayonnaise 1 1/2 cups sour cream 1 small onion, chopped fine dash of garlic powder 1 can diced water chestnuts 1 round loaf Hawaiian bread Instructions: Mix spinach, soup mix, mayonnaise, sour cream, onion and garlic powder. Refrigerate several hours. Hollow out the bread to use as a serving bowl. Place dip into the bread. Cut off chunks of bread and spread dip on top.
