Hey there Roger...

Not sure which Linda you were referring to...but I can be Linda if you like. :-)

Curry is one of those spices that my Indian friend says is more that just one spice. She's from Bombay and has lived in the states now for quite some time. At any rate, I only know about the one that I've tasted...& it is quite overpowering when used in large measure. Just a wee bit of it tastes good and adds an unusual taste to the food. I do like Indian food...eating it every night for a month would make one forget asparagus! I'll have to try the Chicken Tikka Massala at a local Indian restruant a few blocks from where I live. Sounds good, is it really hot? So do you like wasabi? Now that's a hot spice that will clean out the sinuses.

Thanks for coming back by and posting your comments Roger.

Cheryl

So sorry Cheryl,

I had three things that I was doing at once and by brain flipped.

Try the chicken Tikka Masala, It's not very hot. A good Restaraunt will always do you a slightly milder one.

Wasabi is more frequently used in Thai type curries. The smell of the paste is disgusting but in a dish it is essential to some dishes.

I prefer Indian curries because I find Thai a little too scented for me.

Hey there Roger,

That's alright....I get busy multi-tasking too. As far as wasabi...it's so hot...but I really like it. It burns out everything in your sinuses 'eh? I frequent a Japanese place that serves it with the sushi I order. Just a little pinch of it goes a long way...but then I go back and get another bite.

I will try out the Chicken Tikka Masala sometime. Do you like sushi? I didn't at first but now I just love it. I had a Japanese room mate at one time who first introduced me to it. She now lives in Hawaii where she grew up, & she's quite the cook. I visited her in Ha. about 4 yrs ago and had a blast. They have an influence of several different Asian and Polynesian foods there, & it was fun to try them all.

Cheryl,

I've not got into Sushi. I have tried it but find it cold and a little tasteless.

It doesnt help that I'm not into fish so it means that I have been sampling at the veggie end.

I should try properly.

Hi Roger,

Yeah...I didn't like it at first either...then I realized that there are many different ones and they are quite tasty, or maybe I've just gotten used to it. One of the ones I like is Calamari with avocado slices stuffed in the roll. Take it with a little wasabi or ginger, add a little soy sauce if you like...& it's just great. Anyway, now that I like it, I will try different ones & some I like better than others. I don't care for the eel, but I did want to say I tried it!

Take care and thanks for your comments!

The deep emotional conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is revealed in the incomprehensible universe, forms my idea of God.
