As our troops are involved in a new push against the taliban in Afghanistan, we need to remember those who fight, their familes and those who make the everyday decisions that decide upon their deployment.

I have several relatives in several branches of the military, actually that's a family thing for the past 3 generations on my side, and my husband and his brother as first-generation Americans who served in the Marines.

I posted pics of 2 of my nephews at Sara's forum before, now here's my brother, he's not in the Air Force anymore but served 8 years and was in South Korea for many years of that time and also came back to work at the Pentagon for awhile, in military intelligence.

Regular people who volunteer years of their time, and "come back to Ohio" to ride a bike!
