Hi Donna,

That risotto recipe sounds delicious. I love to read good recipes and eat them....I don't cook a whole lot but when I do, it's very simple easy recipes. Here's one that Phil Black shared on his New Years forum thread & I don't think he'll mind me sharing it. I'm going to cook this crock pot recipe that he posted there. It does sound good to me & easy enough that even I can do it. He also shared there a traditional New Years recipe from the south if you want to go look at it. I am a southern girl and the traditional dish for us was always black-eyed peas. My mom would never see the new year in without having her black-eyed peas.

Thanks for your recipe Phil! :-)

I'm going to ENJOY!

Cheryl

Quick Crock Pot recipe (from Phil's forum post)

1 pork roast (3 to 5 lb.)
2 cans sauerkraut (large)
1 apple, chopped
1 sm onion, sliced
Incrockpot, mix 1 1/2 cans sauerkraut, apple and onion slices. Place porkon top, cover with remaining sauerkraut. Add just a little water (maybe1/2 cup). Cook 6 to 8 hours on low. It's delicious served with butterednoodles (wide).

Hi Cheryl,

Thank you for sharing Phil's recipe. It sounds delicious, and, as you say, easy enough to prepare. I prefer easy recipes, too, as it gets tedious to prepare long involved ones.
