HI Linda,
Unfortunately, this would be a whole lot funnier if it wasn't so close to the truth! It's a sad time we live in...people take a perfectly innocent statement to wish people a wonderful holiday and someone has to be offended for no reason what-so-ever.
Wal-Mart used the phrase "Happy Holidays" and many Christians this year got offended by that because according to them people were trying to take Christ out of Christmas. If some people weren't so narrow-minded they would realize that not only does Christmas take place in December, but so does Hannukkah, Zwanzaa, and occasionally the Muslim holiday(Eid) falls in this month.
Retailers accommodate all religions so to be fair to everyone they used this phrase! So, what's wrong with that? I don't get it...I think some people just have to find something to complain about or they're not happy! Isn't there already enough problems in the world? Can't people think of others besides themselves, and not try to make something out of nothing...isn't that the Christian way of being? People need to get a grip, really!
Thanks for sharing Linda!
