I think that's because most humans, in our arrogance, think our one and only plan will never fail, because it's OUR plan, that usually being it's only measure of importance, that it was ours.

Hi Kathleen,

I'm sure this is one of the reasons. The other one is that many people don't actually have a plan at all and are just assuming that things are going that or that way. Of course when you only assuming things, you have no strong need to create alternative thinking. They have not invested too much anyway. It things go the other way it is easy to say that those who wan, were not fair.
