Hi Adrian. The question is supposed to be the start of a dialogue that lets us get to know eachother. Only then it would be possible to know if we can be friends or not. You can always change your mind later. I have no particular reason to give you for being my friend because I don't know you yet. What reason would you give to anyone? I'm always ready to improve myself :)

Thank you for your reply Roger. From my point of view, I cannot imagine myself walking up to a complete stranger and asking him "Would you like to be my friend?" with a view to finding out who he was later after he had accepted. I tend to choose my friends based on whether we have something in common, even if that something is only a friend in common.
