But in reading Carries' last post it sounds like she is saying she is trying to learn "How" to make the changes she needs to make. I remember all too well how much trouble I had trying to make changes to the first site I had. It was a pre-built site and I had to spend a lot of time on phone with tech support to complete what is now to me "simple" applications! ========================================== Well, I'd never chastise you... and I left this post of Carrie's up to give her the benefit of the doubt.... However, I've also had to delete several posts by Carrie (3 or 4) that were blatant ads. After the first blatant ad I deleted, I sent her a message explaining that people will be much more likely to visit her site if she participates in the conversations instead of just posting ads. I also explained that, as an advisor's forum, I have a responsibility to keep the forum on topic, active and helpful. She promptly posted more ads, which I also deleted once I became aware of them. I think that's where both Peter and Gary are coming from in their comments. While people are welcome to post blatant ads in their own forums, an advisor's forum is supposed to be where ANY member can go to interact and get help. Just my humble opinion, but if an advisor starts allowing blatant ads, secret cliques, hostile behaviour, personal attacks and other such activities - they have lost the point of being an advisor and are no longer setting a good example for what ALP Advisors are *supposed to be* about.
