Living Life In The Divine Flow
12/11/2005 11:18:41 AM
Hi everyone, This is a message from Steven Lane Taylor, a really good friend of mine who is the author of a wonderful book, Row, Row, Row: Living Life In The Divine Flow everyone should in their library. Mine is on my coffee table because it feels good to look at it. In addition to visualization and meditation, another “ation” that helps you manifest what you want in life is the use of an affirmation. An affirmation is a positive statement of what you know to be true in spirit. It declares that what you want (or its equivalent, or something greater) is — by divine right — already yours. For example, an affirmation for prosperity might be “I am prosperous!” Or, “Prosperity is my right, and I claim it now!” Affirmative statements such as these are very powerful. But again, as I mention frequently, that power rests mainly in the way that your ability to receive is enhanced. An affirmation, you see, is not meant to persuade or convince God to give you what you want. What you want is already yours just for the asking! The primary purpose of an affirmation is simply to help you remind yourself to be open and receptive to God’s unfailing response to your request. A positive, affirmative frame of mind (especially when it’s accompanied by a joyful, expectant feeling) greatly increases your ability to recognize and cooperate with the divine flow—that steady stream of intuitive nudges, divine signs, and synchronicities that will guide you to your good. Negativity, on the other hand, has the opposite effect. It restricts your ability to recognize the divine flow, and limits your ability to cooperate with it. So you wind up sabotaging yourself. So, are you affirming the kind of life you want to experience by making statements such as, “I am abundant?” Or, are you negating your good by making statements such as, “I never have enough money?” Remember, either way, you will end up being right. ======== Isn't he great? Hi Linda, I really enjoy reading your posts, even through the forums I can feel the peace that radiates from you. You are so correct that negativity can destroy you. It can also destroy those around you as the negativity of others can destroy you as well. And that I think is the hardest one. Thank you for reminding me once again to look at things in a affirmative way. Sometimes I seem to forget.........

Hey Sherry, I appreciate your comments. You are not alonge. We all forget... because we are all HUMAN. We live a temporary human existence for a reason, for a purpose, to learn... and beyond that we are eternal. It is always so helpful to me simply to remain among those who are seeking to apply spiritual principles to their life and their business. The student is also always the teacher. Thank you for being here.

Hi, Linda: Thanks for the opportunity to acknowledge the power of the attitude of gratitude for living in the divine flow. Given notice to move, I wanted to stay in a community where apartments are scarce and probably among the highest priced in the country. One of the main reasons for staying here was a Positive Life Center, attracting a community of likeminded people, where I was leading meditations at Sunday gatherings. It was quite a conscious effort not to slide into "Oh, my, I will never find a place that I like and can afford here" and instead giving thanks for the wonderful new place coming to me. Even telling the Universe, "Yes, and I want it with a view, too!" Guess what: today I have been offered a wonderful place to live, in a house of friends, in the community I want to stay in and enjoy, with a view forever, and even two cats to cuddle with! We are so powerful, so mighty when we live in the Divine flow, that it is truly AWESOME! SO NOW I GIVE THANKS FOR WHAT IS, AND FOR WHAT ALSO WILL BE, A STREAM OF DAYS FILLED WITH JOYFUL ACTIVITY AND GOOD HEALTH AND LOVING FRIENDS. I take a pledge to continue to give thanks for all I receive and for all I want to attract into my life, and row, row, row my boat GENTLY down the stream... Izabel p.s. "You cannot be grateful and unhappy at the same time!"
