Linda,
The power of positive thought. it's a winner everytime...
Melvin, nice to see you around.
Now your question, your website is very good & I keep promising myself to go back an order something (if I can find the time).
To find out why you cannot keep visitors, or why you cannot turn them into customers.
Have you got a stats program on your site?
Can you see where your visitors are coming from, what page they land on, how many pages they look at, what page they leave from????
To find out why they are not buying,
1, Do your visitors come from traffic exchanges?
if so, they are just surfing for points, occasionally one will look through your site, but mainly they are just getting credits for there own websites.
This is a good way to get your visitor numbers up, which will make your website popular & get the search engine 'Bot's' to come crawling through to find out why you attract visitors.
2, Are you paying for click's PPC's?
We found out that this was a total waste of time, as unless you are paying big bucks for the expensive keywords, your visitors are just competition trying to use up your advertising budget.
Better of sticking to the traffic site visitors, at least they are free,
3, Do you 'target' your visitors?
Are they coming there looking for book's?
With the website program stats, you will be able to find this out.
If the majority of your traffic is only looking at your home page, then they do not find anything to interest them to look further.
If it's is another page they all leave from, then that page is the problem.
Did you build your own web site, or did someone build it for you?
If you did it, then play around with it, make 4 or 5 different home pages, you can store them on your website & advertise the different URL's for each seperate home page & see which one your visitors like the best.
Get an ad-tracking program, see which ads pull in the most visitors.
I could go on, but that will give you something to start on.
