I venture to suggest that the reason for this
apparent contradiction is that we (according
to the psychiatrist)have both a conscious and a sub-conscious mind. The latter, we are told, is the mind that is in harmony with Infinite Intellegence or God.
If we agree on the forgoing then we must
conclude that the Conscious Mind is controlled
by the thinking of our rational society- a
society that has thought us to judge, analyze
or evaluate virtually everything we experience.
This being so, we can expect our minds to
fluctuate between the "truth" of the matter and
what we percieve to be the truth that is governed by our rational or conscious mind. Is it any wonder that in society there are so many double standards?
