Hi Sis Marilyn,
That was so beautiful! Reminded me of my grandma. She would have done the same thing. When my father was little my great grandmother accidentally spilled a pot of hot milk over his head. He was standing close behind her as she remove the pot from the stove. My grandmother told me she immediately got a towel and wrapped it around my father's face and wiped it taking the top layer of skin off but if it had not been for that my father would have had a scared face all his life and he did not. His arm stayed scared his whole life though where she missed wiping the skin off.
My grandma did not have much either but if you really needed something she was there for you.
