Hi Marilyn, That was a beutiful story. Stories such as this are so often kept from being told, however they should be told often. Rules and regulations so often stand in the way of compassion. I believe that each and everyone of us, if put in a situation such as being in a coma, would love to know that at least one person would care enough about us to give up a small portion of their time to bestow an act of kindness. In this case, the nurse was repaid with something that meant more to her than all the money in the world. A golden locket filled with memories. Thank you Marilyn, for an excellent post.
