Recognition is the most powerful motivator that I know of, outside of love. Sadly though, most of the time we are noticed for our failures and not our successes. The reenforcement of failure only leads to more failure; the reenforcement of success leads to greater success. You get more of what you pay attention to. The greatest evidence of this is our children. When you recognize their accomplishments, and praise them they strive to do their best next time. When you only notice their failures they give up on themselves and quit trying. This behavior is carried on into adulthood and becomes everlasting. A pat on the back does far more than a slap on the wrist. My Two Cents... Trina
