That was beautiful AND not only should we tell them, we need to write a letter to be tucked away to be given, in the event of our untimely death.
I just returned from the USANA International Convention in Salt Lake City. Our last speaker was the astronaut that spent 5 months on the Mier(sp??) Space station with 2 Russian astronauts (don't recall his name). He gave the most incredible account of his time in space, there was not a dry eye in the convention center (10,000 people). As he recounted 3 life or death situations that occured in space, his message was that his biggest reqret, as he was taking what he thought was going to be his last couple of breaths, was that he had not left a note behind for his young child, who was just a few months old, and his wife.
He said don't just tell your loved ones how much you love them, write a note, leave a letter, express your hope and dreams for them. I will be traveling to Japan next month and I have begun letters to each of my children, to be left with important papers. I have found it difficult to write but think it's important for my children to have, should something happen. We never know what each day holds for us. My daughters friend(16) and his mother were hit by a drunk driver 3 wks ago,the mom was killed and the friend sustained serious injury and is recovering, however, don't know if he'll ever recover from the loss of his mom.
Thank you for sharing Kathy and I hope you are feeling much better.
Blessings to all................joanna
