Hi Marion, I will join you in your prayers for all that are in harms way. Prayers to strengthen and sustain those in the areas that are vulnerable, especially if people aren't able to leave. Many are not able to leave who are trying to because of gas becoming a rarity. This new hurricane will prevent much needed shipments of fuel into the ports of the gulf. I just posted in another forum where Margaret Hollingsworth has asked us to pray for her son Michel and his family who are in Houston. It really becomes quite clear how dependant we are on fuel when you can't get out of town because there isn't enough to go around. I live in Texas about 5 hours from the coast and we are having many stations up here also run out of gas. I was able to get some today, after waiting in a line for awhile. It makes one think about how vulnerable we are. GOD knows all things though...all we can do is try to prepare & then pray for His help and mercy. Thanks for having such a kind heart. Hello Beverly, I pray that your son is safe. My sister and brother-in-law had to evacuate yesterday so I believe they will be safe. It took them 12 hours to drive what noramlly takes 2 hours from Galveston to Navasota, TX. I know what it it is like to run from a hurricane when we lived in Savannah and Hugo was expected to hit there. At the last minute Hugo turned and went to Charleston, SC instead. So you never know.
