My dear Sir Roger,

At the time when you announced the winner, I already became pretty closer to Serbian bears, than to people. Have had to leave the civilisation and all the challenges it offers, and to focus all what I am to my goals.

I AM SO VERY MUCH HONORED BY WINNING THIS "CONTEST" !

Thank you very much. Also, thanks to your off line friend. Tell him that I very much appreciate his opinion that I deserve to get one dedicated poem.

I AM SO SO FLATTERED and happy.

I wish I know English enough good to be able to join you in writing poetry, and to dedicate the poem to each one who posted at this forum.

Thank you all. All of you are missed greatly.

Would be back after my entrance examination for University would be over.

Many hugs and blessings to all. Specially to Pauline and Shanti.

Luka

Roger this is a wonderful forum idea you had and I have enjoyed reading all the stories and watching Pauline's unfold.  Luka shows his heart by helping others and I am happy he won.

Hugs,
Sara

Hello Roger,

What a great forum idea.  It's so clear that there are so many wonderful people here at Adland.  The thread that runs through all of the posts is that everyone who has posted has such a caring heart.  We are blessed to be amongst these folks, including you Roger.

There is so much pain and suffering in this world as it is...but we must not forget that there is so much joy also, & we can be a small part of this joy by bringing it to others around us.  There is no shortage of suffering & misery, but many of us "know" for certain that there is a better place reserved for those that love God & are called according to His purpose.  Yes, I do believe that all things will be made new at some future point in time...but for now....we are called to shine the light by simply walking in love.  When we do this, we will be affecting those around us in a small way (& perhaps even in a bigger way than we have any idea about).  I love the people that have shared their hearts here, & I am so glad to have each one as my my friend & fellow laborer in this life to bring joy, love and compassion to those around us.

Sometimes the task to love, uplift and encourage others seems daunting, but unless we just do it, we will never finish what the beloved master wants us to do....because we can't finish well until "walk in the way of love"....we do this by being ever conscious of those around us every day who are hurting & wounded, lonely or hungry.

My intent is to be cognoscente of a teller who needs a smile, a child who needs a hug, an adult who's going through a difficulty, etc.  We are all capable of giving so much to those we come into contact with, & I know that so many times because I am rushed & in my own prioritized schedule, I simply miss opportunities all the time "to be" loving & compassionate to those I come into contact with.   This is something that I have been working on recently, & I hope to daily make an impact in a small way to at least one person that I rub elbows with, so to speak.

There are other projects and ministries that I support, but it seems to me, that the biggest opportunity is around me each and every day & I confess that I need to do better.

Take care Sir Roger & keep up the good work & great forum.

Cheryl

P.S.  You can't keep back the waters once they start flowing...they brim over with love, compassion, joy and giving.
