Thomas,
You have gone and done it again.
A great tribute to Ken and a wonderful intro about his City.
Thank you.
Ken,
Your sentence "I don't think God will take me away until I finish what he sent me here to do. My list of things to do is so long that I think I will live forever."
This could have been written by me.
I know exactly how you feel.
I swim like a block of concrete. It is a goal that I have abandoned purely because I hated swimming so much, however, I did teach myself to swim enough to get rid of my total fear of water. My main regret is that I can't share skill this with my granddaughters who are both great swimmers.
I love your teaching ability and your ambitions. You know that you make a difference.
Sacremento is special to me. I brough a learning difficulty man to the US to see railroads (his biggest dream) and the highlight was a trip to the railroad museum there. He had dreamed of seeing your vast goods trains. He had read that some commercial locos hauled over 100 vans and trucks. He stood in awe as a train crossed the bridge in Sacremento with 149 trucks. We also saw a huge Army train with tanks and everything military, he was in awe.
Lovely memories of a modern city with that old West feeling.
So, enjoy your City, your work and your life. I know you do anyway.
Roger
