- Romney offers brutally funny assault on Obama
By now, most of you have probably seen clips of this, but if you've missed it here are Mitt Romney's jokes from last night's Aflred E Smith dinner in New York. He takes the opportunity to drop a blisteringly funny attack on President Obama, and still manages to come away looking like a nice, presidential, guy.
It was an awesome performance. As comedians say, he "killed."
To be honest, the Eastwood joke and the middle name bit are pretty funny. Obama had a couple of good one-liners but Mitt clearly owned this event.
It's interesting how heavily Obama's performance in that first debate still looms....
