Tom,
I had the huge fortune to visit that part of the North West. It was so like home (UK) in many ways being well north but next to the warm pacific. The flora is similar but on average much more rugged and big. I loved it and the people.
Barbara is a wonderful choice here.
Barbara,
Congratulations.
You are in for a busy week because you have many friends.
You are a great Adlander, you are consistant and gentle and always there for people. Some folk hold high profiles, yours is one that everyone knows but is never thrust upon us. You are, as I have said before, always there and an inspiration to others in your concern for their wellbeing.
My wife and I miss our parrots just as much as our old dog. When my wife first had a bird, she didn't realise that they had personalities. Boy, did she learn. Our oldest parrot had been badly neglected when we got him but we got him back to trusting people 80%. He was VERY funny, a lousy singer but a great dancer. He had an attitude problem as he loved my wife and hated me (only if my wife was s around) He used to headbutt the cage as I passed and hiss at me, but if my wife wasn't there he would share a whispering session with me.
His favourite music was End People. He would hear the girls voice (cant remember) and go mad.
Enough parrot talk.
Have a lovely week and share some love with your friends.
Roger
