Here's the Mackinac Bridge connecting the upper & lower peninsulas of Michigan, this is several miles long and is all see-thru metal mesh so we can see the ice-cold waves below, beckoning us to a frigid death, and everyones tires make noise while driving the entire way over the holey unholy metal grating!!  Oh boy, BIG FUN!!  There's also a once-yearly bridge walk-a-thon in early September, never done it, sounds very tiring, windy, and very frightening!
