Some probably never thought nor looked at Psalm 23 in this way, even though they say it over and over again. The Lord is my Shepherd - That's Relationship! I shall not want - That's Supply! He maketh me to lie down in green pastures - That's Rest! He leadeth me beside the still waters - That's Refreshment! He restoreth my soul - That's Healing! He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness - That's Guidance! For His name sake - That's Purpose! Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death - That's Testing! I will fear no evil - That's Protection! For Thou art with me - That's Faithfulness! Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me - That's Discipline! Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies - That's Hope! Thou anointeth my head with oil - That's Consecration! My cup runneth over - That's Abundance! Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life - That's Blessing! And I will dwell in the house of the Lord - That's Security! Forever - That's Eternity! Face it; the Lord loves you. Send this to the people you love. I thought this was pretty special, just like YOU!!! Good Post Kathy, I would add this to your study and understaning of Ps 23 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death - That's Testing! I agree with what your friend said here but here is something eles I would like you to see. We know God is the God of the living and the dead. The living not meaning those that are still breathing, but meaning those that are alive to God, born again, living their lives unto God , thaking up their cross daily and following Jesus. Thus the dead is the ones dead in their sins, blinded by satan to their need to repent, thus not living for God. So as we walk though the the valley of death, a low place, we are to be ministering to the ones we find that are fead spiriturally. this is the valley of death. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. This my freinds is the fact that we can feast on the Word of God and all it promises. The fact is that the devil can not stop you from doing this and he can't stop you from recieving any promise you have in the Word. Glory be to God. Be Blessed Yada
