Hi Peter,

Thanks So Much My Friend!

Here's a Short & Sweet One I thought you might like...

How do you tell the difference between a liberal and a conservative?

Easy. Watch a man drowning fifty feet offshore.

The conservative will throw out 25 feet of rope and shout "swim for it!"

The liberal will toss out 50 feet of rope, drop his own end, and go off to do another good deed.

A Few Notable Quotes

. In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm, and three or more is a Congress. -- John Adams

If you don't read the newspaper, you are uninformed; if you do read the newspaper, you are misinformed. -- Mark Twain

I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. -- Winston Churchill

A government which robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul. -- George Bernard Shaw

A liberal is someone who feels a great debt to his fellow man, which debt he proposes to pay off with your money. -- G. Gordon Liddy

I don't make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts. -- Will Rogers

If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it's free. -- P.J. O'Rourke

The government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no responsibility at the other. -- Ronald Reagan

The only difference between a tax man and a taxidermist is that the taxidermist leaves the skin. -- Mark Twain

Funny Peter...thanks for sharing.  Oops, I don't think it's politically correct but I laughed anyway!  ;-)

Phil, those are just the most memorable quotes!  Thanks.

Hi Phil,

Glad you enjoyed it. You quotes are superb but I especially liked "If you don't read the newspaper, you are uninformed; if you do read the newspaper, you are misinformed. -- Mark Twain".

Can't get closer to the truth then that. :)

Shalom,

Peter

Hi Cheryl,

Nowadays you find it very hard to be politically correct so you may as well laugh when you can.

Here are a few more quotes for you that say it all.

"The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government." Patrick Henry

“The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive.” Thomas Jefferson

Shalom,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the Great Quotes.  I always knew that there was something I liked about Thomas Jefferson.  Speaking of Patriotic Resistance, I would love to have everyone join us at http://.resistnet.com .

Cheryl, I'm glad that you enjoyed the Quotes.  As for being Politically Correct, I don't think that I've ever been accused of being PC and hopefully I never will be as long as I'm still breathing.  The funny thing is that back in the 60's I was considered a Left-Wing Extremist because of my opposition to the Vietnam War.  From what I have been led to believe, thanks to a certain former Cross-Dressing FBI Director, I even rated a few mentions in some files in Washington, and received a few stitches compliments of Mayor Daley's Stormtroopers.  Now, thanks to our Lady of the Open Borders, Janet Napolitano, and her latest DHS Report...

Download the DHS report here (.pdf)

I'm considered to be a Right-Wing Extremist, because I'm taking a stand against the wholesale slaughter of the Innocents, http://standtrue.com , and the destruction of my beloved Country by a group of Socialist thugs.  I guess there's just no pleasing everybody now is there?

Now to lighten it up again, from the "What did He say?" department, a few more Quotes...

"I have orders to be awakened at any time in the case of a national emergency, even if I'm in a cabinet meeting."
Ronald Reagan.

"It's no exaggeration to say that the undecideds could go one way or another."
George Bush.

"I have opinions of my own - strong opinions - but I don't always agree with them."
George Bush.

"Politics is supposed be the second oldest profession. I have come to realise that it bears a very close resemblance to the first."
Ronald Reagan.

"People who like this sort of thing will find this the sort of thing they like."
Abraham Lincoln.

"When the President does it, that means that it's not illegal."
Richard Nixon.

"Things are more like they are now than they ever were before."
Dwight D. Eisenhower.

And since no collection of funny Quotes could be complete without a few from Dan Quayle...

"Welcome to President Bush, Mrs. Bush, and my fellow astronauts."

"We're going to have the best-educated American people in the world."

"Quite frankly, teachers are the only profession that teach our children."

"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."

"It is wonderful to be here in the great state of Chicago"

"I was recently on a tour of Latin America, and the only regret I have was that I didn't study Latin harder in school so I could converse with those people."

"I love California, I practically grew up in Phoenix."

_______________

Whatever the day may bring, just keep smiling, enjoy life with those you love, and always remember...

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (KJV)

Have A Beautiful & Blessed Evening,

Phil
