Hi Alain, Yes they are. The flight over to the Azores from New Jerset was seventeen hours. Sitting next to me was a brand new Second Lt. For almost the full seventeen hours he lectured me on respect. At one point he had said that if I were standing in line at the chow hall or at the movies and there was an officer behind me, it would be respectful for me to allow the officer to go first. About a month at Lajes Field the day came for our monthly shots. While standing in line, I noticed that the same officer was standing about four people behind me looking nervous. I called someone over when I was almost to the head of the line and said that I wanted that officer to go before me because he had to be somewhere shortly. They pulled him out of line, put him in front of me and when they administered the shot, he fainted. I stepped over him, got my shot and walked away. Later that day he saw me and in an angry voice why I had done that. I had already saluted him so I smiled and responded, "Respect, sir." GOD BLESS YOU ~Mike~ http://www.countryvalues65.com
