Pope St. Gregory I,(c.540-604).
On September 21, 591 A.D., Pope Gregory The Great, preached a sermon in Rome which stated that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute.
WAS MARY MAGDALENE A PROSTITUTE?
The Holy Bible confirms that Mary Magdalene was demon-possessed,
and not a prostitute.
The Holy Bible says: When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.
(Mark 16:9; Luke 8:2).
THE EVIDENCE DEMANDS A VERDICT
In 1969 the Catholic Church officially corrected
Pope Gregory The Great erroneous statement
of Mary Magdalene.
