Jill,

Thank you.

I love to write poems. Inspiration is inexplicable even if results aren't amazing it is still a gift.

Your closing paragraphs are amazing. I will share something with you by PM.

Have a wonderful week.

Roger

Hi my friends,

I hope to bring you all some new stuff soon.

Your encouragement has caused me to post my poems wider on the net and I have been receiving invites to publish these and short stories.

From little acorns big things grow!

Roger

Thank you Jill,

I shall go to bed happy tonight (now).

I dedicate this poem to you.

I posted it here before but I know that YOU WILL UNDERSTAND IT.

Roger

Another place              (c) Roger Macdivitt 2009

There is a life that once was true

A life that waits for me to renew

Where family wished me on my way

To earth to live, to work, to play

Sad parting fades, but still a memory

So faint, so true, but real to me

Why were they here and there as well?

This not a dream, but hard to tell

How was that aunt so special, here?

Though briefly there her love to share

When will recall to realms remembered

Come swift to me, life here surrendered?

Comfort comes from knowing something

Of another world with love to bring

Where waits a family, care united

To welcome home a son, requited

My latest poem was written purely to cheer up a network which was bogged down by pain and suffering.

Although worthy subjects SO IS POSITIVE.

CHEER UP EVERYONE

Tomorrow

 (c) Roger Macdivitt 2009

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I’ll ponder awhile.

The thought of tomorrow can oft make me smile.

For many fond memories make a pleasant return,

Of days where my fears never matched my concern.

All of my yesterdays were once my tomorrow

More of them finished with joy, not with sorrow.

Life’s lessons show me that with every next day

A word or a gesture some love would portray.

The future is brighter than we want to pretend

Start with a smile, the right message you’ll send

To friends and to colleagues who’s lifetime you share

They will know that you love them and feel that you care.

Be fair and be honest with yourself and with those

Whom life puts before you and ensure you propose

A good share in the best of life’s positive things

Tomorrow’s a joy in the things that it brings.
