How do You do animated pictures? Using Photoshop?

I am going to try, but did not find the time yet.

I use PaintShop Pro 6 with Animation Shop.  Corel has taken over this company so I can't get updates.  I have Corel Paint Shop Pro X but it does not have Animation Shop :-( 

You can download some free ones that work but not so good.
