Hi to ALL "Spirit of Giving" followers,

I decided I had better send a GROUP invitation to all of you after counting the number of posts............I do not want Adland to accuse me of spamming.  lol

I so appreciate your special messages to me in Cheryl's "Spirit of Giving" thread here, and I would be honored to send the author's book TREASURES to all of you!  :-)

I have a Gift Certificate ready to send to you if you will just personal message me back with your email address.  You can then download and open the book in digital flip book format.   The story will capture your heart and the artwork and poetry are out of this world.

I am among many who are deeply committed to bringing a new era of hope and peace to our local and global communities.  Please accept my Gift for the beautiful book TREASURES in the "spirit of giving" for which it is meant.

You are the best and thank you for being my friend!

Blessings,   Jill

Thanks for your "Spirit of Giving" Jill.  Wonderful that you are sharing this gift with all of us. I am trying to get caught up with many things & I am starting to spend time reading others poetry and prose as well as my own.  It's something that makes me feel refreshed & it's particularly helpful when I feel pressured for time.

It's a paradox.  Take time to do that which you don't have time to do to feel refreshed.  It really works...even if it's just a few minutes.

Taking the time to refresh the soul...I love it.

Thanks again,

Cheryl :-)

CHeryl,

Thank you for sharing "The spirit of Giving". Jill is a great friend and she knows very well the importance to share goodness. Here is a GRAND SCHOLAR who teached us sharing what we have. It is Logn Godd Friday here and I share a Hymn of the day.

FROM LIFE INTO SEPULCHER

Click above (Greek and Arabic)

Christ, you, who are Life itself,
were placed in a sepulcher,
and legions of angels were astonished
by your condescendence.

How is it possible for you who is Life itself to die?
To abide in a grave? You,
who has dissolved the rule of Death
and resurrects Hades dead?

The ruler of all is beheld dead;
and in a new sepulcher is placed
he who has emptied all sepulchers of their dead.

Christ, you, who are Life itself,
were placed in a sepulcher,
and through your death you conquered Death
and sprung forth life into the world.

Strangest of paradoxes, and of inexplicable things!
the provider of my breath is carried breathless
by Joseph for burial.

Christ, you, who are Life itself,
were placed in a sepulcher,
and legions of angels were astonished
by your condescendence

YOUR FRIEND IN GOOD AND BAD
Georgios

Very meaningful poem Georgios. What an irony, that by death itself, death is conquered! Life arose out of death! And so it is with us today still, that so often in our dying, true life arises in us. You and your Greek heritage Georgios! I am a fan of Plato and Socrates; the wisdom that came out of ancient Greece is a marvel!

Hey there Georgios,

Thank you for your timely post & thanks for acknowledging our dear friend Jill, who is so great at sharing as you say.

The poem you posted for Long Good Friday is lovely and represents the paradox of all paradoxes.  Christ is Risen! Thanks be to God!

Take care Georgios & I hope your day was blessed!

Cheryl :-)
