Hi Roger,
My favorite part of your bio is when you said you'd only take jobs you LIKE! I completely understant THAT! If your job doesn't make you happy, it's obvious to yourself and everyone else very quickly.
I know people who have "good" jobs that they don't like, some men love construction and some wish for rain so they can stay home...and others who have jobs that are beneath their qualifications that they DO like, such as brilliant people in factories who like to daydream all day while doing the same repetitive work, because they couldn't stand going to college. Then there was my nephew who gave up a college scholarship to join the military and he's still in it 12 years late, he attended classes eventually anyway. We think other peoples' choices are strange but probably normal for themselves.
I could never last long as a waitress, I just don't have the personal people skills for it but I have a great deal of respect for people who DO, it takes a lot! But I've been a good cashier and bank teller, I wouldn't run to those with eagerness but they weren't bad jobs.
