Senate is voting TODAY at 5:30p EST to invoke cloture (60 votes needed) and proceed to final vote. This vote comes admidst reports that the government has committed $9.7 TRILLION in stimulus!! Three Republicans (Collins, Specter and Snowe) are planning to join with Democrats and pass a slightly trimmed Spending bill that still will cost over $1.1 trillion. From our contact in the Senate:
 "Monday, February 9th, the Senate will convene at 1:00pm and resume consideration of the bill. The time until 5:30pm will be equally divided and the Senate will then proceed to a Roll Call Vote on the Motion to Invoke Cloture on the Collins/Nelson amendment. No further amendments are in order to the bill. If cloture is invoked, the post-cloture time will run until 12:00pm on Tuesday.
