GROUNDHOG DAY? He's wrong half the time just like the weathermen, so it doesn't matter if we pay them a bushel of lettuce or $60,000+. Does it? Did you know 13,000 people showed up in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to see the groundhog's prediction for the next 6 weeks? That's a LOT of people! Well, he saw his shadow so we get 6 more weeks of winter. For those in other countries, is this just an American goofy tradition? Every year on Feb. 2, a groundhog is pulled out of his hole in the ground in a small Pennsylvania town and held up, if it's a sunny day and he sees his shadow, we get 6 more weeks of winter. If it's a cloudy day and there's no shadow, we can expect an early spring. This earth-shattering event is televised every year!
