I know it was the good Lord who kept us from serious harm; I just want to know why he put that boulder in my way. ;-) If it hadn't of been there, I would have been able to steer back up onto the road, slowly.

Maybe he thinks it's time for me to get another car. I dunno.

Thank you everyone, for your thoughts and comments.

Accidents have a way of getting one to look at the Physical Universe all around us.  We so often just wonder during the day like some half-witted chip monk looking for a acorn.

I do have a question for you and that would be:  During the accident, which problemly seemed pretty long when in fact it was seconts.  Did you feel that you could see it happening to you (like you were out of your body) or were you just feeling it like a bad carnival ride?

Be grateful that you were able to handle life quickly in that minute moment of time.

Jason

No out of body experience here. I felt like a crash test dummy. I saw brush being mowed down in front of me and then wham! we hit the rock.

I know that I am not destined to die in an auto accident. I have had two serious accidents in that same spot (10 years apart) and I walked away from both of them.

I am grateful for my life, and the bonus is that I like my new car even better than the old one. Same car, same year, different transmission.
