I am glad to see a Swede in your SundayShowcase. Mattias is a caring and nice person. Next time I visit Sweden I will find him. My mother and two brothers still live in Småland 60 miles away from Jönköping. I have been in Jönköping several times. For more than 18 years I also lived in Småland, Sweden (1965-1983). Småland is very nice part of Sweden and the people very kind. What I am in spirit and mind is much thanks to the Swedish people.

The three biggest towns in Småland (small land) are Jönköping, the capital of Jönköping County, Växjö, the capital in Kronogergs County and Kalmar the capital in Kalmar County. Kalmar is the town where Gustav Wasa (the panting at left), the first official King of Sweden, who announced Sweden Independent 1524.

Småland is a family industry region specialized on father to son traditional industry but also of type lego-word of advanced technology that bloomed during the 60ies and 70ies.

	Thank you Thomas! I am very honored! You have picked up the most essential historical facts about my region and it was a very interesting read for me as well. One more thing about "Gnosjö-andan". The society, Anderstorp where I grew up, lies only 10 kilometres from Gnosjö, and has a high level of entrepeneurship as well. You have certainly picked up the most interesting facts about Småland, Thomas, thank you!
