Hey, Pauline, just had to come back and see what all these folks were doing. Wow! Everyone is having fun!! Enjoying all the snacks, chocolate and champagne, where's the cheese? - so many love songs...
Myrna, dear one, now that is the Elvis I remember and just maybe this poem was written for him. We were all in love with him and then he GOT MARRIED!!
The Heart's Storm
The rain kept falling
My heart kept crying
My head was bowed.
The room was dark.
I felt a hand,
I looked up,
I saw a man.
The rains ceased,
My heart smiled.
I lifted my head
I saw happiness.
The sun came out ...
It dried the rain
The tears in my heart.
I was soared away to worlds unknown.
Far, far, away, forever...
But forever came too soon.
The clouds rolled up,
The darkness came
that brought the rain,
I felt the tears
of those bygone years.
I bowed my head, I wept...
I wept... until...
At last...I knew that I..
...Was dead...
