Dear Friends!

FOLLOW UP this thread! Mark it as a favorite to find. I will update after hand and more and more information will be updated.

The Brihat Katha states that "As for flying machines, the Yavana [Greeks] know them"

The ancient Vimanas appeared to favor Alexander the Great of Greek antiquity. In 332 BC when Alexander was besieging Tyre in Phoenicia ..."One day there appeared over the Macedonian camp these "flying shields", as they had been called, which flew in a triangular formation led by an exceedingly large one, the others were smaller by almost a half. The unknown chronicler narrates that they circled slowly over Tyre while thousands of warriors on both sides stood and watched them in astonishment. Suddenly from the largest "shield" came a lightening flash that struck the walls, these crumbled, other flashes followed and walls and towers dissolved, as if they had been built of mud, leaving the way open for the besiegers who poured like an avalanche through the breeches. The "flying shields" hovered over the city until it was completely stormed then they very swiftly disappeared aloft, soon melting into the blue sky". Gods and Spacemen in Greece and Rome

Several years later, In 329 BC when crossing a river to attack India the Vimanas turned against Alexander ,his army was harassed by ". strange craft that dived repeatedly at his (Alexander's) army until the war elephants, the men and the horses all panicked and refused to cross the river where the incident occurred."  Alexander's historian describes these strange craft as "great shining silvery shields, spitting fire around the rims. things that came from the skies and returned to the skies"  Assuming they were the same Vimana that had aided him in 329 BC against the Phoenicians they apparently had a change of heart when he approached their homeland.

Hi again, Georgios,

It is the diversity, the different and even sometimes the controversial things  that make the world go round!!  It is obvious that you are merely sharing great information. I always enjoy it, whether I agree or disagree, it is something to keep the brain cells exercised and you always keep it educational and interesting.

Hugs!
