Hi Anne-Marie,

I get migraines too!

Yes, it is about time, past time in fact, for doctors to admit that fibromyalgia exists.

Hi Shirley,

Fibro is in my family, too. Two nieces have it and so do I. I think one of my sisters has it, and so did my mother, although those two weren't diagnosed. While my mother was alive we never heard of fibromyalgia.

HI Donna,

I agree with Annemarie - I what to show this to my doctor who dies not believe in alternative therapies or anything that includes the word "syndrome".

So in order to verify the credentials could you please tell me about Dr Douglas.

Cheers,

Leonie

Hi Leonie,

Dr. Douglass is an internet doctor who has a newsletter, so your doctor may not be impressed especially if he doesn't believe in alternative therapies. Here is some info on Dr. Douglass.

My name is Dr. William Campbell Douglass, II. I’ve been voted “Doctor of the Year” by the National Health Federation. I’ve also been labeled a “maverick” and “pioneer”... plus some other less flattering names I won’t mention here.

I’m sick and tired of mainstream medicine always putting profits and political correctness in front of cold hard facts...and making the whole world sicker (and dumber!) as a result.

Hi Donna,
Greetings!
Great topic you have brought out.

Fibro is very much stress related and nowadays, there is no boundry between men and women though women go through more emotional down turn when it comes to men.

Please don't get me wrong but we have higher hormones than men do so understandably, we go through this.  Fighting this will be easier when there is good support from family and friends.

A main treatment that can be done for this a heart activity exercise that calms the emotions and in return the transmission of information from the brain and heart is kept seperate.

But I agree that people's ignorance does not help.

Thanks for sharing.

Love,
Rinna
