Hello Peter

I am posting the ``prophecy`` below in the hopes it will give encouragement to those who like yourself, live in Israel.

According to Hank Kunneman, God prophesies through him from time to time. Both of these prophecies are from months back with the first one from September 2012 and the other from December 2011 which is helpful as it allows you to look back and see if there is any truth in them. I haven`t been watching the news. I thought they were encouraging because in them God talks about how He will be with Israel through all her troubles.

Many of us pray for Israel. Israel may feel alone sometimes but you are not alone.

God bless Israel!

Helen

September 20th 2012 – Israel protected:

The Spirit of God says for even as you are gathered here tonight the hosts of heaven have been gathered with you to carry your sound and your words, to carry your voice into the atmosphere over this region, this city, over America and even to Israel. For the Lord says even in Israel and around the earth there are those who say there are many, Israel, that rise up against you. Many say around the earth that there is no hope for you in God. Who shall stand with Israel? God says from the moment of their birth I have stood with Israel and I will stand once again. For even as they say today is summer and then shall come fall something is about to take place that has been concealed even from the enemy for he knows not what I am about to do concerning My people Israel.

For in the fall months I will confound them. In the fall months I will do something to the enemy that will strike fear in the Middle East. I will do something in the fall months that will cause the earth to stand up and say “Israel you are foolish!” but God says even though they shall be chastised they do not stand alone for My people and I, their Lord and their God stand in the midst of them and surely there shall be a wind and there shall be a fire and there shall be smoke and when this happens, God says, the enemies of darkness shall be judged and Israel shall be protected and the saving strength of My right hand shall come over the nation.

For God says, watch. Today it is summer and then it is fall. Watch what is about to take place and fall this fall. I will stand with My people and let the whole earth know that Israel is the apple of My eye.

December 4, 2011:

The Spirit of God says, My heart cries out to you, Israel. For upon every side the nations seek to devour and seek to destroy; seek to take over. So men have looked to you, Israel, and said the same thing concerning the Christ Yeshua. They have said can anything good come out of Israel? The Spirit of God says not only the enemies that are on every side know that there is something taking place for the activity of angelic forces has caused them to be perplexed and even at this time and this moment there is a spiritual battle waging in the heavenlies and over America; over a wind of change that shall come quickly to Israel. For the Spirit of God says I will not allow the enemies of those who seek to destroy and devour.

So I will stand in the midst of Israel and I will protect them and show My wonder. I will show that I am still the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob-Israel! The Spirit of the Lord says when they come and they gather in the sea and the ships of Russia, the ships of Syria and Iran and the ships of the United States and that of Israel gather in the waters and men say that this is the end, but the Spirit of God says no, for I tell you there are moments and events that still must take place and when it looks as thou there will be a face-off I will show My face and cause the enemy to be dis-configured. I will cause the enemy to run and I will cause the enemy to be exposed.

For even as there is a strike, a strike, a strike, the Spirit of God says do not fear for I am backing My people and I am backing the Prime Minister; I am speaking My words as he wrestles through the night hours and through the day. But the Spirit of God says I have him and I have placed him as my bulwark and I will not allow something that is not My will! I will not allow it to transpire; only My will shall be done!

God says listen now for there is even a moment of time in this year that is about to take place, in 2012 the wind will blow across your land and they will say they have not seen the thrust of wind like this. God says there is a wind that is blowing something new. There is a wind that is shifting and a wind that is changing so it shall take place even in Israel for they are entering into a season of wars. A season of rumors of wars but do not be afraid for God says I will take them out one by one and cause Israel to stand. I will cause them before the nations of the earth, even though they will be chastised and scorned and scourged before the nations, I will stand by Israel with what they are about to do that they will stand alone and receive chastisement of this nation. But the Spirit of God says they have My backing and have My hand and My purpose and they shall do it says the Lord.

Family Survived Holocaust by Living in a Cave

ABC News
Saul and Sam Stermer, 92 and 86, revisit the cave where they hid during the holocaust for the first time in October 2010.
In the darkest days of the 20th Century, as the shadow of the evil that was the Holocaust fell across Europe, the courage of one woman was the difference between life and death for a few Jewish families from a little Ukrainian village.

Esther Stermer lived in that village with her six children until Nazi forces came in late 1941.

More than a thousand Jews were rounded up and sent to camps, where most died.

But Esther found another way.

Along with her family, including her sons Saul and Sam Stermer, 92 and 86 today, Esther spent nearly a year and a half underground, living in the pitch black of two vast caves in Ukraine, along with 36 other Jews, to escape Nazi persecution.

"The secret is that we were in trouble," Sam Stermer told ABC News. "But we never did give in."

It is an astonishing story, one of strength and survival from the Holocaust, brought to light 70 years later in the documentary "No Place on Earth." In October 2010, both Saul and Sam revisited the cave for the first time.

"It's a story about what people are capable of, both in love and achievement," Janet Tobias, who directed the film, said.

Saul and Sam credit their mother for saving their lives and keeping them safe for the more than 500 days they spent together in the darkness of the caves.

"We had a very smart mother," Sam said. "If I wouldn't have this type of mother, I wouldn't be alive."

So they made their own way, deep underground in nearby caves that run for miles, living in total darkness, like the bats and mice down there, and all they had was one another, and their own ingenuity.

"You went to sleep and you had a pillow and you covered up with good blankets," Saul Stermer said. "What else you want? You were in paradise."

For the Stermer family, the caves provided the freedom they were robbed of during the war.

"We were free men," Sam said.

Once, German SS soldiers raided the first cave they hid in and their mother, Esther, faced them down.

"She came out and stood in front of the guy, the guy with the gun like this," Sam said. "And she says, 'What are you afraid of here? The Fuhrer is gonna lose the war because we live here?' Can you imagine a Jewish woman to say just the word 'Fuhrer'?"

They foraged for food at night, built showers and latrines deep underground until finally, in April 1944, the Russian Army liberated the area, and the five families (38 Jews in total) came back into the light, and back into a life out of the abyss.

Last year, for the film, they returned to the cave.

After the war, Saul and Sam Stermer made their way to Canada, founded a successful contracting business, where they still go to work each day.

The ordeal of living a life underground, spending countless nights lying in a cavernous space, shaped how the Stermers lived their lives.

"We were just happy to survive," Sam said. "Then life started to turn normal, and that's it. We tried to get ahead. We tried to survive after the war."

Today, these 38 survivors now have more than 125 children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They have a story, out of the darkness, where they found life.

"This is a completely different story, because it was a happy ending," Saul said.

Hi Evelyn, Peter, et al

That was lovely! Imagine living to be 106 years in a body that suffered so much abuse and starvation. Many of the Holocaust survivors starved almost to the point of death and yet their body came back and many of them lived to ripe old ages although not 106. Quite amazing.
I can`t imagine living that long.

Helen

Holocaust Remembrance Day Begins In Israel (PHOTOS)

By ARON HELLER 04/07/13 02:50 PM ET EDT

JERUSALEM -- Israel dedicated its annual memorial day for the 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust to mark 70 years to the Warsaw ghetto uprising, a symbol of Jewish resistance against the Nazis in World War II that resonates deeply in Israel to this day.

At the opening ceremony at nightfall, President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu both linked the desperate Jewish revolt of 1943 to the warrior mentality that enabled the establishment of Israel five years later.

"There was a never a rebellion like it. They were so few and their bravery remained as a model for so many," Peres said at Yad Vashem, Israel's official Holocaust memorial, before hundreds of Holocaust survivors and their families, Israeli leaders, diplomats and others.

"A clear line exists between the resistance in the ghettos, in the camps and in the forests and the rebirth and bravery of the state of Israel. It is a line of dignity, of renewed independence, of mutual responsibility, of exalting God's name," he said, "as a ray of hope which was not extinguished even during terrible anguish. The ghetto fighters sought life even when circumstance screamed despair."

Netanyahu called the uprising marked "a turning point in the fate of the Jewish people" where they transformed from helpless victims into fearless warriors.

Six million Jews were killed by German Nazis and their collaborators in the Holocaust, a third of world Jewry.

The 1943 Warsaw ghetto uprising was the first large-scale rebellion against the Nazis in Europe and the single greatest act of Jewish resistance during the Holocaust. Though guaranteed to fail, it became a symbol of struggle against impossible conditions, illustrated a refusal to give in to Nazi atrocities and inspired other acts of uprising and underground resistance by Jews and non-Jews alike.

While the world marks International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Jan. 27, the date of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp, Israel's annual Holocaust memorial day coincides with the Hebrew date of the Warsaw ghetto uprising.

The Israeli flag flew at half-staff and a military honor guard stood at one side of the podium as poems and psalms were read and the Jewish prayer for the dead was recited.

Peres, an 89-year-old Nobel Peace Prize laureate, also linked the Nazi genocide to Iran's suspected drive to acquire nuclear bombs and its leaders' repeated references to the destruction of Israel and its denial of the Holocaust.

"The civilized world must ask itself ... (how) it is still possible for the leadership, like that of Iran, to openly deny the Holocaust and threaten another Holocaust," he said. "Those who ignore the threat of a Holocaust against one nation must know that the threat of a Holocaust against one nation is a threat of a Holocaust against all nations."

He spoke a day after the latest round of international talks aimed at halting Iran's nuclear development program failed to reach an agreement.

Netanyahu also cited the Iranian threats to destroy Israel and vowed that there will never be another Holocaust.

"The murderous hatred against the Jews that has accompanied the history of our people has not disappeared, it has just been replaced with a murderous hatred of the Jewish state," he said. "What has changed since the Holocaust is our determination and our ability to defend ourselves."

The stated links between the Holocaust and Iran showed how more than six decades later, the mass murder of Jews during World War II is still a central part of Israel's psyche. The nation was created just three years after the end of the war, and hundreds of thousands of dazed survivors made their way to Israel.

Today, fewer than 200,000 elderly survivors remain in the country.

The annual memorial day is one of the most solemn on Israel's calendar. Restaurants, cafes and places of entertainment are shut down, and radio and TV programming are dedicated almost exclusively to documentaries about the Holocaust, interviews with survivors and somber music.

On Monday morning, Israel is scheduled to come to a standstill as sirens wail for two minutes. Pedestrians typically stop in their tracks, cars and buses halt on streets and highways and drivers and passengers stand on the roads with their heads bowed.

Further ceremonies include the public reading of names of Holocaust victims at sites around the country, including Israel's parliament. Schoolchildren dress in white and stop their studies to hold memorial ceremonies.

Sunday night's main ceremony at Yad Vashem included six survivors who lit six symbolic torches to commemorate the 6 million dead. A video segment on each one's personal story was presented.

Hours before the opening ceremony, an annual report by Tel Aviv University on worldwide anti-Semitism said the number of anti-Semitic violence and vandalism jumped 30 percent jump last year, after a two-year decline.

Moshe Kantor, president of the European Jewish Congress, an umbrella group representing Jewish communities across Europe, warned of a sudden upsurge in anti-Semitic attacks and expressed alarm over the rise of extremist parties in Europe - particularly in Hungary, Greece and Ukraine.

"Neo-Nazis have been once again legalized in Europe. They are openly sitting in parliaments," he said.

View Why We Remember the Holocaust video

The United States Congress established the Days of Remembrance as our nation’s annual commemoration of the Holocaust and created the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum as a permanent living memorial to the victims. Holocaust Remembrance Day is Monday, April 8, 2013. The Museum designated Never Again: Heeding the Warning Signs as the theme for the 2013 observance. In accordance with its Congressional mandate, the Museum is responsible for leading the nation in commemorating the Days of Remembrance, and for encouraging and sponsoring appropriate observances throughout the United States.

Observances and remembrance activities can occur during the week of Remembrance that runs from the Sunday before Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom Hashoah) through the following Sunday (view the Remembrance Day Calendar). Days of Remembrance are observed by state and local governments, military bases, workplaces, schools, churches, synagogues, and civic centers.

Since 1982, the Museum has organized and led the national Days of Remembrance ceremony in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, with Holocaust survivors, liberators, members of Congress, White House officials, the diplomatic corps, and community leaders in attendance.
