RE: HSIG - Israel The Neighborhood Bully?
9/26/2009 10:41:45 AM

Hello Friends,

I saw this over at Atlas Shrugs and thought it should be posted here for posterity.

It sure expresses all my thoughts in a nutshell.

Shalom,

Peter

Bullying the Open Thread

This one is for Bibi

Bob Dylan nee Zimmerman :)

Well, the neighborhood bully, he's just one man,
His enemies say he's on their land.
They got him outnumbered about a million to one,
He got no place to escape to, no place to run.
He's the neighborhood bully.

The neighborhood bully just lives to survive,
He's criticized and condemned for being alive.
He's not supposed to fight back, he's supposed to have thick skin,
He's supposed to lay down and die when his door is kicked in.
He's the neighborhood bully.

The neighborhood bully been driven out of every land,
He's wandered the earth an exiled man.
Seen his family scattered, his people hounded and torn,
He's always on trial for just being born.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Well, he knocked out a lynch mob, he was criticized,
Old women condemned him, said he should apologize.
Then he destroyed a bomb factory, nobody was glad.
The bombs were meant for him.
He was supposed to feel bad.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Well, the chances are against it and the odds are slim
That he'll live by the rules that the world makes for him,
'Cause there's a noose at his neck and a gun at his back
And a license to kill him is given out to every maniac.
He's the neighborhood bully.

He got no allies to really speak of.
What he gets he must pay for, he don't get it out of love.
He buys obsolete weapons and he won't be denied
But no one sends flesh and blood to fight by his side.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Well, he's surrounded by pacifists who all want peace,
They pray for it nightly that the bloodshed must cease.
Now, they wouldn't hurt a fly.
To hurt one they would weep.
They lay and they wait for this bully to fall asleep.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Every empire that's enslaved him is gone,
Egypt and Rome, even the great Babylon.
He's made a garden of paradise in the desert sand,
In bed with nobody, under no one's command.
He's the neighborhood bully.

Now his holiest books have been trampled upon,
No contract he signed was worth what it was written on.
He took the crumbs of the world and he turned it into wealth,
Took sickness and disease and he turned it into health.
He's the neighborhood bully.

What's anybody indebted to him for?
Nothin', they say.
He just likes to cause war.
Pride and prejudice and superstition indeed,
They wait for this bully like a dog waits to feed.
He's the neighborhood bully.

What has he done to wear so many scars?
Does he change the course of rivers?
Does he pollute the moon and stars?
Neighborhood bully, standing on the hill,
Running out the clock, time standing still,
Neighborhood bully.

RE: HSIG - Israel, Islam And The UN According To Lt. Colonel Alan West
9/28/2009 7:36:41 AM

Hello Friends,

I just finished reading Lt. Col. Alan Wests' latest article at Atlas Shrugs and I must say he covers all the issues regarding Israel, Islam and the UN exceedingly well.

His analysis of the UN is excellent and his suggestions are to be considered seriously. Else the consequences won't only be detrimental to Israel but to the free world as a whole.

Shalom,

Peter

Lt Colonel Allen West

About 62 years ago the world came together and established something that was very long overdue, the State of Israel. When one considers the travails of the Jewish people since the 7th century it should bring shame upon the face of the world. These persecutions began with their being forced out of the Saudi peninsula and the Levant by muhammad and his successors.

The horrors of the inquisition in Spain among other wrongs brought upon the Jews in early Europe followed. When we failed to learn from that lesson, the world would  witness the supreme horror in Europe of the Holocaust. Finally, we learned the lesson. We made a commitment and established a Jewish homeland, fully recognized.

Now we face the resurrection of the original enemy of the Jewish people, a resurgent islamic fundamentalism evidencing itself in totalitarian, imperialist design. This time it has morphed itself using 21st century technologies still retaining a 7th century mentality, utilizing terrorism internationally to promote its perverse aims.

One of those objectives is the destruction of the State the world agreed to support in creating, Israel.

In keeping with previous traditions established by muhammad, the modern islamic warriors promote taquiyya, lying to promote islam. They also, just as muhammad, use the Treaty of Hudabiyya as a model to delay and deceive their enemies until they are ready to strike. Under Yasser Arafat some 200 agreements were never honored.

Why would be trust any word coming from the mouth of the psychopathic delusional leader of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? The mad mullahs, insane imams, and combative clerics are again calling for the supremacy of islam, no different from earlier centuries.

Israel faces groups such as Hamas which in its charter commits to the destruction of Israel. They face Iran who has committed to destroying the Jewish state and driving its people into the sea. When asked to depart from southern Lebanon, Israel complied, yet they now face Hezbollah in the north. In Egypt the muslim brotherhood is complicit in enabling Hamas to receive materiel support and funding through the series of tunnels.

And there are those who demand more land be ceded by Israel and settlements halted? The end result will be a Country with the width comparable to the distance of New York's JFK to LaGuardia airports. Each time Israel has given back terrain it has become a launching point for terrorist attacks.

We are dealing with an enemy that has no regard, nor respect, for negotiations, compromises, and certainly not appeasement. Matter of fact it is deemed weakness and only encourages them moreso.

I do not support any creation of a Palestinian state, to do so would be to create a terrorist state. There is already a state for the Arabic people residing in the region called Palestine, Jordan. If the Arabs can build an indoor ski slope in Dubai, they can resolve the issue of their Arab brothers and sisters. Instead, they use them as pawns in an international game of extortion and use the subsidies provided not for humanitarian gain but for more weapons, for jihad.

I do not support any division of Jerusalem. If I recall from history and the Old Testament, David, Son of Israel built Jerusalem and his son Solomon made it great. The muslim claims to Jerusalem are based upon a very contentious story concocted by muhammad, and of course the latter conquering of the city even by Salahaddin. One flag will fly over Jerusalem, the Israeli flag, never any other, certainly not a UN flag.

Lastly, we must move away from the antiquated world government organization called the United Nations. We recently saw what type "leaders" are allowed a stage before this body politic. It is time we create a new organization which is based upon Nations with like political structures, Republics and Democracies. I advocate Israel being part of this structure, perhaps an expanded NATO, but something with teeth, and principled member Nations. We face a dangerous committed enemy, we are all targets, not just Israel.

And if we fail to believe that last sentence, ask those who lost loved ones on 9-11 in America, on 3-11 in Madrid, and in the London bombings. We just dodged a terrible blow here in America, again, while promoting "Islam on Capitol Hill". Funny, the attendees blamed their fear of reprisals for not having more persons participate. This on the same day, 25 September 2009, that a Jordanian illegal immigrant was caught sitting in a "supposed" car bomb and dialing up the cell number to detonate in Dallas.

Genesis Chapter 16, verses 11-12 states, "And the Angel of the Lord said to her (Hagar): Behold you are with child, And you shall bear a son, You shall call his name Ishmael, Because the Lord has heard your affliction. He shall be a wild man; His hand shall be against everyman, and every man's hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren."

Ishamel of course became the beginning of the Arab people....and God's word is immutable truth.

In closing, there are battle lines clearly drawn, I know where I stand, and that is to support the State of Israel. The lessons of history have been learned by me and I offer one simple retort, "Not on my Watch".
Steadfast and Loyal

RE: HSIG - Iran To The World - Screw You!!!!
9/28/2009 1:01:23 PM

Hello Friends,

Iran loudly announced yesterday that it has no intention to buckle under after being so "soundly" rebuked by B Hussein. I guess Ahmadinejad correctly assessed the situation after Defense Secretary Gates publicly announced that "the US has no permanent military solution to Iran becoming a nuclear power".

I guess this administration has the sick ongoing ability to weaken the US and by admitting that it has no way to prevent Iran's becoming a nuclear power it allowed the maniac Ahmadinejad to say screw you "world" we'll do exactly as we please and a few short hours later fired a series of short rang ballistic missiles.

Make no mistake these short range missiles aren't only a danger to Israel but to most of the neighboring arab countries and parts of Europe. The  next step is long range missiles and then the whole world is in danger.

Unfortunately with B Hussein the great pretender in the White House the tyrants and maniacs have the upper hand cos there is nothing to stand in their way. He's ruining the US from within and making a joke out of the most powerful country in the world with his non existent foreign policy.

So we've got B Hussein the great apologist and his Secrateries telling the world that we can't stop the maniacs and Iran will do as it wishes. We are powerless.

Shalom,

Peter

Iran tests missiles after nuke disclosure

Gates concedes U.S. has no permanent military solution

Iran rebuked the United States and its Western partners Sunday by testing a series of short-range rockets, almost as a caveat after days of rancor over Tehran's acknowledgment that it was building a second facility capable of making fuel for atomic bombs.

Iran also said it tested a multiple rocket launcher for the first time, with its official English-language press broadcasting images of missiles being fired as part of a military drill by a unit of the Revolutionary Guard.

The test missiles were launched within hours of an acknowledgment by Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates that the U.S. has no permanent military solution to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power.

"The reality is, there is no military option that does anything more than buy time," Mr. Gates told CNN's "State of the Union."

"The only way you end up not having a nuclear-capable Iran is for the Iranian government to decide that their security is diminished by having those weapons, as opposed to strengthened," Mr. Gates said.

He added: "While you don't take options off the table, I think there's still room left for diplomacy."

Mr. Gates also said estimates show that Iran, if left unchecked, could produce nuclear weapons within one to three years.

Iran claims it is enriching uranium to fuel power plants. But Mr. Gates said Iran's disclosure last week of a second uranium-enrichment plant appeared to belie those claims.

Mr. Gates said intelligence agencies from the U.S. and its partners, including the British and French, have been watching the construction of the facility for "at least a couple of years" but waited to go public "to ensure that our conclusions about its purpose were right."

He said now there is "no doubt that this is an illicit nuclear facility, if only because the Iranians kept it a secret."

"If they wanted it for peaceful nuclear purposes, there's no reason to put it so deep underground, no reason to be deceptive about it, keep it a secret for a protracted period of time," he said.

The site is in the arid mountains near the holy city of Qom and is thought to be heavily patrolled by the Revolutionary Guard.

The site is likely to call into question the public summary of the 2007 National Intelligence Estimate (NIE), which said that Iran had halted its weapons program, and raise suspicions that the summary was deliberately toned down.

The intelligence estimate defined the activities of Iran's "nuclear weapons program" in the assessment's footnotes as nuclear weapon design, weaponization work and "covert uranium conversion-related and uranium enrichment-related work; we do not mean Iran's declared civil work related to uranium conversion and enrichment."

The intelligence estimate also revealed that "in fall 2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program; we also assess with moderate-to-high confidence that Tehran at a minimum is keeping open the option to develop nuclear weapons."

Danny Ayalon, Israel's deputy foreign minister, said in an interview with Israel's Channel 10 that "the revelation of the secret Iranian facility also demonstrates to even the most skeptical people the evil intentions of Iran."

"The Iran's ongoing military maneuvers including the last one and all their missile tests are a huge challenge to the international community," he said.

Michael Ledeen, a scholar at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, said, "The best option for Iran is regime change, which is what the vast majority of the Iranian people clearly want."

Henry Sokolski, a member of the congressionally mandated Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism, said the missile test "looks like the sort of thing North Korea would do in a fit of frustration."

"Because of last Friday's revelations about their covert enrichment plant, it looks like they've lost diplomatic leverage to get their way in upcoming nuclear talks to stop sanctions."

David Albright, president of the Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security, said in an interview, "The administration wants to portray this new enrichment plant as part of a nuclear weapons effort. But it is not reconsidering the 2007 NIE that said Iran's nuclear weapons program had not been restarted."

"I think these tests had been in the works for a while. But the tests today show that Iran is very determined to develop missile forces and there now has to be greater concern that some of those missiles might be carrying nuclear weapons in the future."

A U.S. intelligence official told The Washington Times that Iran's "intentions to develop short- to medium-range missiles have not changed since the release of the 2007 National Intelligence Estimate." He spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the material.

"Our views are constantly checked and reassessed," the official said. "When it comes to short- and medium-range ballistic missiles, Iran has made no secret of its desire to expand its capabilities."

Gen. Hossein Salami, head of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Air Force, said on Iran state media, "We are going to respond to any military action in a crushing manner and it doesn't make any difference which country or regime has launched the aggression."

He said the missiles fired Sunday hit their targets.

Moreover, Gen. Salami said, Iran would test medium-range Shahab-1 and Shahab-2 missiles on Sunday night and longer-range Shahab-3 missiles on Monday during drills set to last several days.

The midrange missiles are capable of hitting all of Israel and surrounding nations throughout the Middle East and southern Russia.

Mr. Gates said that growing public dissent within Iran against the country's leaders could provide an opportunity for negotiations with the United States and other powers. But he indicated that the next step for the U.S. would be to toughen sanctions.

If diplomacy fails, "then I think you begin to move in the direction of severe sanctions," he said on ABC's "This Week." "Their economic problems are difficult enough that I think that severe sanctions would have the potential of bringing them to change their policies."

On Friday evening, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon privately told Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to comply with restrictions on pursuing nuclear weapons. Iran is under three sets of relatively mild sanctions by the U.N. Security Council.

Mr. Ban "emphasized that the burden of proof is on Iran," his office said in a statement Sunday.

Mr. Ahmadinejad responded that his nation was keeping nothing from international inspectors and needn't "inform Mr. Obama's administration of every facility that we have." He said the United States owes him an apology.

When Mr. Gates was asked on "This Week" whether the U.S. would apologize to Mr. Ahmadinejad, he responded flatly, "Not a chance."

Sarah A. Carter contributed to this report. Betsy Pisik contributed from the United Nations in New York.

RE: Human Shields In Gaza
9/30/2009 11:47:31 AM

Hello Peter,

Not wishing to give an off-track post here but I came across this video I believe to be of some interest with regards to the use of children as shields for the interests of some. Even if the girl has some many valid points, I totally disagree to the socialistic green love love her masters are using her for. Any way, I thought some may be interested to see this video of  “The girl who silenced the world for 5 minutes”.

Friendly yours,
Robert.
